Tinnitus another sign of stress?

Post by calguy »

I noticed a ringing in my ears last couple days and from what I been reading sounds like tinnitus. Only started happening after I started swimming so will stop and see if it improves. From what I read stress, high blood pressure can cause this. People recommend not thinking about it and will improve. Just like CPPS.lol I had to laugh because probably just another symptom of stress and anxiety. Man never knew stress could cause so many problems! Hoping it goes away I guess for many people it never does. Been doing well to but did have stressful week so who knows. I would rather have the ringing that chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome let me tell you!
Age 32, onset 32 Onset Aug 07- frequency was main problem in the beginning-really bad. Now 1 to 2x per night when frequency flairs up. Sore and tight lower abdominal muscles. Occasional burning after bowel movement and full feeling. What helps: Healthy diet(this is huge for me) Started drinking super greens supplament and almost going totally vegetarian to get body more alkaline, starting Prosta-Q, quercetin/zinc tablet in morning helped frequency problem I believe. Massaging abs and doing stretches helps calm down frequency when it is acting up. Wine or vodka after long day. Flexeral and melatonin at night. Swimming and light weights. .5 of Elavil every other day helps with frequency and healing process. Trying to stay positive and not stressing over this!

If you have taken a lot of antibiotics, that too is a cause, since some of them damage the inner ear (IOW they are "ototoxic").

Other medications and drugs can also be a problem

Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Yea dude I wouldn't worry. I get that at work for a few min when the stress is heating up. It also could be from water in your ear — let it drain out and it should go away on it's own.
Good to go!

Just let it drain out on its own or any tricks?

Normally it should come out on it's own. I would say just tilt your ear. That's what I did I had a nasty infection too when it got stuck with water. Just avoid qtips.
Good to go!
