Quercetin

Post by Northstar »

hi there.

Since it seems that Quercetin is the primary active ingrediant in any accredited quercetin product (which is not sold in Canada), would taking Quercetin on it's own also provide beneficial effects (in 500mg strength).?

Yes, taking quercetin on its own will provide benefits if you are genetically susceptible to its effects. Just remember that tests show that most brands do not contain the amount of quercetin they state (unlike the brands I recommend). If you really cannot get any accredited quercetin product or ProstaProtek, try Twinlabs.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Hi Northstar,

You can order any accredited quercetin product by phone and they will deliver it to you in Canada. I think the first bottle is free, but they charge you maybe $5 or something for delivery. If you subscribe monthly, they wave the shipping fee. It's expensive, but since the CDN $ is going up, it's getting cheaper!! :money:

I started off with a generic quercetin. It did help, but I felt that the any accredited quercetin product helped a little more.

I went to the dentist yesterday and the hygienist noticed that my teeth are becoming stained (yellowy) . She asked me if I smoke, drink coffee, tea, etc. I don't do any of those things. She thought that maybe a medication or supplement that I'm taking is putting something in my saliva that is staining my teeth. I'm wondering whether it is the quercetin. Anyone else have this happen to them :?:

I started taking quercetin a few months ago because I couldn't find any accredited quercetin product here in Toronto. I think it helps but its too early to tell.

I have not noticed any staining in my teeth or colouration of my urine.

I ordered the free sample of any accredited quercetin product and it arrived on Friday. My symptoms have subsided in the past week to the point where I feel 90% better (except for some frequency). I am hesitatant to start taking the any accredited quercetin product until I start feeling a flareup. Silly I know, but I feel like doing anything different might tip the scale.

I take about 1500mgs of quercetin (Quercetin) per day. I may cut back to 1000mgs at some point.

For the first time, my any accredited quercetin product order came to me (Toronto, Canada) with a customs charge.

I strongly feel that quercetin is what is making my teeth more yellowy. It's not too severe, but enough that my hygienist noticed. I also think that quercetin is making my semen yellowy.

OK, here's my comment. First...I have non bacterial type of prostatitis. I've been taking a realy lot of stuff last few months, and to be shortest and most precise as possible..here are my, of course, subjective notices:
1. Propolis-did help to suspend little of symptoms...lat's say for 10-20%
2. Saw Palmetto-didn't help
3. Cranberry-didn't help
4. Nettle tea-seems to help a little, but shouldn't be taken more than two cups daily
5. Zinc-been taking it from the beggining but don't know if it helps
6. Quercetin-REALY helps after only few days you can notice improvement in symptoms. Since I've been taking it I'm at least 90% free of ALL symptoms! And part that you're interested...I take Twinlab's quercetin with vitamin C (250mg twice a day). I live in Croatia, and you couldn't get any other form of quercetin, so I don't know what would I do without it.
7. Bromelain-I'm taking it once a day along with quercetin since I read somewhere that it comes with quercetin in any accredited quercetin product tablets. Don't know if it helps or not. Also from Twinlab.
