can stretching benefit w/o trigger points? hard to find?

Post by mquintin73 »

I ordered a headache in the pelvis, and started to read it and noticed I felt a little more at ease about my situation. So I called David to find out about the clinic and he asked me a variety of questions and suggested that I would most likely benefit from going to the clinic, as he cannot guarantee anyone to anyone that they will benefit.

As I am reading the book, I poke and I feel around for trigger points. I cannot find any or I'm not looking in the right spot, or the fact that I'm not slim, I'm overweight and am thinking that the trigger points might be harder to find. But I do feel tender spots that dont radiate any sensations anywhere. I also attempted to do rectal TP investigating but to no avail. I spoke with a gentleman who said he never felt he had trigger points, but did Karate, and yoga stretching religiously and has had very good success in abatement of his symptoms.

What I am wondering is (A) are trigger points hard for the average person to find (B) are they harder to find if your not slim (C) can stretching benefit alone if you dont find trigger points (D) anything else you can suggest =)

Thank you for your help and isight
Matt

Please fill out your signature. It is not easy to find trigger points, but if you attend the Stanford clinic they'll teach you how.

I am actually booked for the clinic this October, and am staying after the clinic with my wife and kids to see the bay area, and visit my wife's family who lives in San Luis Obispo. I eagerly await this as I'm hoping there is something that they can offer me, I'll be the happiest person ever if he says that it will take 2-3 ... years to make yourself better but we can help show you how :-D .
