Does alpha blockers have any effect on pelvic/prostate pain symptoms or do they only work on urinary symptoms?

Hytrin is supposed to have unknown but beneficial effects on nerves, AFAIK.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

One recent study showed that chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome patients with no prior alpha-blocker treatment taking Terazosin (Hytrin), an alpha blocker, had a significant reduction in chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome pain (as a secondary measure of the study) after 14 weeks, compared to a placebo group.

Other studies suggest that alpha-blockers reduce pain associated with pelvic pain.
