Antioxidants effective against CP in German CP-Forum

Post by consuli »

I am participating in the german prostatitis forum, also. There are several positive reports for the following antioxidant substances in CP:

- Glutathion
- Cystus/Cistus Tea

- Quercetin and Vitamin Q10, although well researched, did generate some positive feedbacks and also negative. Maybe it has to be dosed higher.

- Vitamin C, E did not generate any specific positive feedback.

Are there positive feedbacks for antioxidants in this forum, too?

Bye

I see that this is an old post. Any updates over there?

I know Glutathione is available in numerous supplements, including ones using liposomes to make the product more bioavailable.

The Cystus/Cistus Tea is high in polyphenols http://www.lr-cistus-incanus.de/faq_cis ... us_en.html

Thanks. I used an online translator but doesn't look like that place is too busy. Can't find the posts on this subject either.

As it is fractioned over some threads, maybe I can give my latest information.

Cistus seems to be as effective as quercetin alone, but less effective than quercetin in combination with bromelain (especially in stomach acid resistant administration form).

High dose NAC (German: ACC) , which is metabolized to glutathione, seems to be as useful as quercetin/bromelain combination, but it gains weight!! Direct glutathione was not tested due to high price.

A lot of people have left the German forum in the last year, that's correct.

Thanks Consuli. I guess the "high price" would be worth it if it actually worked, don't you think? Or maybe it was too expensive to get in Germany?

@expensive:
Yes, the price refers to Germany. Maybe glutathione is cheaper in the USA or UK.
And keep in mind that theses antioxidants are no final cure. You have to take them every day. But a lot of people feel much better doing so, including me.

I forgot to mention broccoli sproud extract in combination with bromelain could also be helpful. But there is not much experience with that in the German forum. At least better than drinking the fucking broccoli brew.

@consuli: did the ACC / NAC help you at all? Anybody else experience with NAC?
