I have been catching up on the site, I never knew about these chairs. I had another thread today about lower and mid back pain so in addition to all the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms, now I have that as well and its hurts at times more than the CPPS. Anyway, here is the thing. I have a computer job and 4 days a week I drive 2 hours each way into the Office (although its been more like 3 days lately) Even when I'm home working, I have to sit so these Hara Chairs really interest me a lot. Thing is, there is like a hundred models.
I am trying to compare the Magic II ($450) with the Dolphin on the front of the website http://www.harachairusa.com/
Some of these chairs have a lumbar bump out and some have these twin supports for the back so I was wondering what the difference was. I think I may even get one for home and one for work If I could ans some of the lower models interest me but I am concerned about proper back support.

Re: Which Hara Chair?
Do you have problems sitting? Personally, I would suggest going for one of those seat cushions sold on the IC website. I bought a couple and they work excellent.
Age: 46 | Onset Age: 45 | Symptoms: "gotta go to the bathroom feeling almost constantly, even after I go." Raw/irritated feeling mainly when sitting down. | Helped By: Following IC diet, Alo Vera caps, Cod Liver Oil, Flax seed oil, very warm baths, stretching, relaxation tapes, Yoga and meditation, | Worsened By: citrus fruits, chilie, old cheeses, coffee, alcohol, stress, anxiety, obsessing on the problem.

Re: Which Hara Chair?
I have extreme problems sitting and now it seems my long posture has hurt my back as well. Thought it was a stone until I twinged it again yesterday. Those cushions might get me through the drive but at this point I am ready to invest in something. Especially since this has been on and off for years now.

Re: Which Hara Chair?
Just talked to the Hara Chair people and they recommend the Magic II which is $500 after shipping. There is a lower end model but I don't know much about. Anyway, There is a Chiro In NJ I just talked to who had CP (Used the SP and PT treatment) so he knows his stuff. Thing is, I wonder If I can get away with the lower model, at least for work. Anyone from the Board actually own any of these and can guide me a bit here?

Re: Which Hara Chair?
Do a search for "hara" on this forum. A few guys do own them and seem to be happy. $500 is not that much for a good chair. I've bought some really crappy ones for $100-200.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
