I just had my second "round" of Botox injections to control pelvic floor muscle spasms yesterday.
Muscles injected incldued obturator internus, pectineus, and adductors. It usually takes about 2-3 week to feel the effects. I'll keep everyone informed...

Matt,
In your case, did those muscles match up to any particular sites of referred pain or dysfunction in your urinary track?
I have have noticed that when I get a burning sensation in my urethra, I can sometimes increase or decrease the the sensation by contracting versus relaxing my pectineus and adductors.
Yes, all the injections were left-sided -- matching my discomfort. Last Botox injection (and prior Procaine injections) to the adductor muscles alleviated some referred pain upward into the left side of my groin and penis. I assume the same with the pectineus. I believe the obturator lessened the pelvic floor spasms. The next evaluation will include possible Procaine to the Levator Ani to see if there is an effect on pelvic floor spasms.
During biofeedback/therapy, the resting tone on the left-sided muscles was significantly greater than the right-sided muscles.
I also have lumbar left-sided disc herniations (L4-5/L5-S1) and the injections to lumbar muscles (quadratus lumborum, paraspinals, multifidi) also correlated with the referred pain pattern.
Previous injections helped the spasms and muscle tightness to the point where I could stretch them manually. They did little for the urgency/frequency problems though...
