Hello:
Just wondering if anyone has used diclofenac sodium suppository (sometimes this is introduced via anus - I think this route will be better as it is very close to this site of action?) successfully for bringing down pain or to cure the auto-immune disorder?
Any thoughts?
Cheers!

Re: Diclofenac sodium suppository
Also known as Flector patch , Voltaren, Voltarol, Diclon, Dicloflex Difen, Difene, Cataflam, Pennsaid, Rhumalgan, Modifenac, Abitren, Arthrotec and Zolterol.
As long-term use of diclofenac and similar NSAIDs predisposes for peptic ulcer, many patients at risk for this complication are prescribed a combination (Arthrotec) of diclofenac and misoprostol, a synthetic prostaglandin analogue, to protect the gastric mucosa.
Diclofenac is just a NSAID, and they are only slightly effective in CPPS. Here's a study on rofecoxib (Vioxx, now withdrawn from the market).

Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Re: Diclofenac sodium suppository
I took the oral version of diclofenac for 4 days only, and I have been without discomfort and pain for about 3 weeks now. Advil motrin would not do anything on my discomfort and pain. I believe if the symptoms come back I will take it since so far was the only one that relieved the pain.
Age 39: Onset May 2007, Current | Symptoms: Constant irritation in the urethra which varies in intensity. Peeing about 2-3 times at night. Flares come and goes with in 2-3 weeks apart sometimes increases with sex. Started taking dicoflenac potassium 50mg and does relives the discomfort. Perenial and testical discomfort most of the time.
