Question for Webslave, scooby, etc:
I've been noticing over the past month that my pain level has changed and wanted feedback from you guys. From beginning of this condition until then I had pain every day, some days pretty bad. Mostly hyper-sensitivity and soreness in the penis but also perineum and pubic soreness. I've noticed in the last month that the following is happening:
1) I can go 1 or more days with no pain, then it comes back for unknown reasons
2) When I have pain, it can occur suddenly for 15 min, an hour, or couple of hours, only to suddenly disappear again. It may wax/wane several times during the day to no appreciable pattern.
3) My pain level has changed from constant soreness (like a bruise) to just increased sensitivity
4) The pain has moved from the entire penis to just parts of the shaft
I don't know what to make of this, whether it's a good sign or not. I do the SP protocol with Webslave's enhancements (P-Q, etc).
Thoughts?

Re: Pain levels changing
Just keep on doing what you are doing, I've found this pain does alter through treatment but not for the worse even though sometimes it might feel so. I've often seen this as a positive as it shows something is being done to it.
Good Luck

Re: Pain levels changing
That's exactly how mine went before I went into my 4 year remission
For the last week I have faded down to this level also and hope I'm heading for another remission
Always remember and be cautious about what you do as it can strike back .Remember the things that make it flare even though you can easily forget, for me when I was in my last remission (pain free) I knew I could still bring a flare on for 30 mins or so by having sex after alcohol or on a bladder that was not empty

Age:33 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms:burning urethra, deep sore stinging around the perineum, dribbling | Helped By:when flare starts deep relaxing over a toilet to let out dribbling urine, hot bath, rubbing a heat cream on the perineum, Tens with a pad on the perineum, running, medication (solpadol) for pain. Current treatment: PT. | Worsened By:sitting, stressing over it, ejaculation, sometimes alcohol but I risk it. Been feeling a lot better last 6 months about 85% with a few flares lasting about 5 days. No longer having PT. Stretching every other night and I believe time is also a big factor for me

Re: Pain levels changing
My pain level always goes up the following day with TP and PT. First I thought this was a good sign. I have a ton of TPs. My PT is very knowledgable on internal work as this is the only thing she does - but on women primarily. She also started external myofascial release around the pubic area which also resulted in great pain the day after. I have doing this for a couple of months - but it gets no better. Should I be concerned?

Re: Pain levels changing
Tiger, you have to have the PT quite often to make it work. You also have to consciously relax the pelvic floor in between the sessions.
Just having periodic visits to a PT will not suffice.

Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Re: Pain levels changing
Don't forget about relaxation either Tiger. This might be equally as important as the PT. Done correctly, it's amazing what it can do to your pain levels and trigger point activity. Keep up the good work!
