Have noticed this before and at the moment i have the norovirus (shits and sick)
But i notice all my CP pain symptoms have all but gone and when the stomach cramps ease i feel great with no cp issues
is it due to my pain else where is taking up most pain messages to my brain so it dilutes my Cp pain
anyone else notice this ??????
Age:33 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms:burning urethra, deep sore stinging around the perineum, dribbling | Helped By:when flare starts deep relaxing over a toilet to let out dribbling urine, hot bath, rubbing a heat cream on the perineum, Tens with a pad on the perineum, running, medication (solpadol) for pain. Current treatment: PT. | Worsened By:sitting, stressing over it, ejaculation, sometimes alcohol but I risk it. Been feeling a lot better last 6 months about 85% with a few flares lasting about 5 days. No longer having PT. Stretching every other night and I believe time is also a big factor for me
Bad luck - I seem to have managed to avoid Norovirus and I've been back and forth to hospital for the last week and a half!
I get the opposite reaction. When I have a cold or whatever, my symptoms can flare a touch.

Good to know that. I have noticed that chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome pain reduces several hours / day before I start getting symptoms of cold (several minor bouts recently ). I started thinking it of proof as 'it is all in my head'.

Have now been virus free for 5 days yet my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms have not fully returned in fact I would say 80% symptom free with a little niggle, not pain
I do wax and wane a lot though 1 week good 3 weeks bad etc, I wonder if I'm waning or heading for a remission
Seeing Bill Taylor next Monday. Is it best to be in a lot of pain and symptoms very high when going for PT as points would be easier to find ? Or maybe if your symptoms are waning its easier to fix
Any thoughts ?

Could it also be 1) you are home in bed relaxed and 2) your mind is more focused on the flu symptoms rather than pelvic pain? I'm not a doctor so I can't comment on nerve issues or immunity issues.

I spent 5 hours in the emergency room yesterday, even sitting up most of the time without my pads. For about 48 hours I'd had a stricture in my esophagus that became impacted. It was NOT a stress free time, that's for sure!
I'm pretty sure I missed a significant amount of my pain meds because by the time I gave up and went in, I couldn't even swallow my own saliva, much less pills. The doc said the impacted glob had some hard pills in it.
No pain the entire time, nor the day before nor last night. So weird. I know that eventually they pumped me up with Ativan and versed for the endoscopy, so that would kill anything for a while.
I am not a doctor too!
