All of you who get relief from perineum pain with hot bath

Post by graeme »

I know its in my signature but I urge you to try this, apply a thin layer of deep heat cream to the perineum area (careful of the scrotum) :boom: and this provides almost the same relief as a hot bath if not longer, and you can take it anywhere

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Heat_%28Heat_rub%29
Age:33 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms:burning urethra, deep sore stinging around the perineum, dribbling | Helped By:when flare starts deep relaxing over a toilet to let out dribbling urine, hot bath, rubbing a heat cream on the perineum, Tens with a pad on the perineum, running, medication (solpadol) for pain. Current treatment: PT. | Worsened By:sitting, stressing over it, ejaculation, sometimes alcohol but I risk it. Been feeling a lot better last 6 months about 85% with a few flares lasting about 5 days. No longer having PT. Stretching every other night and I believe time is also a big factor for me

I tried Tiger Balm - which I think is very similar. It burned like hell so I stopped using it.
Age:30 | Onset Age: 29 | Symptoms: Started with burning in the urethra. Thought it was an infection. Symptoms have spread and now shoot around. | Symptoms: Golf ball pain, burning around anus, scrotum pain, testicle pain. Pain eliminated by vacation but soon comes back as stress continues. | Helped By: Not sitting down too much, reducing stress (trying to), hot baths and relaxing. Pain was originally somewhere between 5 and 8 but is now calming down to about 3-5.

Man I have to think, that its impossible to put that on the perineum without getting on the scrotum, and I've had that crap on my scrotum before when I had minor groin pulls and used IcyHot to dull the pain while I played on the injury, that burns like crazy.

But, if it works for you, good for you.

Considering that burning in my perineum was my biggest problem at my worst. So I couldn't go back to that.

Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

Its possible to just apply between ball and ass without touching scrotum and it reliefs the burning while burning if you get me

Early on I was desperate and tried some cream like this. I had no idea my scrotum wouldnt like it so I wasn't shy with it because I hurt everywhere. It took a while to kick in, just long enough for me to put way to much on. Needless to say I needed a shower like people in hell need ice cubes.
Age: 26 | Onset Age: 20 | Symptoms: Used to be pain around the base of the penis, now I have golf ball in rectum feeling that can be very painful. | Helped By: kegal exercise/biofeedback (fixed ejaculation pain), antiinflamatory drugs, warm baths (intermediate term relief), hamstring stretching (very short term relief), the biggest being stress management | Worsened By: Stress, Standing for long periods, ejaculating used to make it worse, but not anymore

I experimented with Tiger Balm, and found that it did reduce perineal burning quite a bit. The initial burn from the Tiger Balm is nothing compared to the continual burning from CPPS, so it wasn't an issue for me. My sense is I have spasms in the perineum, which increase nerve activity, that are interupted and reduced by the Tiger Balm. I recommended it on the other site, but no one but me seemed to get any benefit. I now only use it now during prolonged flare ups. Getting it on my testicles is no problem, it's the rectal area that I need to keep it off.
