Broccoli Broth by Ibrahim Saracoglu

Post by Nikolaus »

Many patients report relief from their symptoms using broccoli broth,
with does not seam to be known among the international group of
researchers.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Deutsches Medizin Forum, September 2002

Broccoli broth can clearly improve the symptoms of chronic
Prostatitis/CPPS

Saracoglu Ibrahim Adnan, Antalya Turkey.

Subject:
Chronic Prostatitis/CPPS is an disease with unknown etiologie and
without standardised working methods. Most patients have experienced
antibiotics, which essentially do not help them, however partial
considerable side effects.
We wanted to find out, how patients would react to the known
characteristics of broccoli. These are e.g. the bioflavonoids, the
antioxidative, antiinflammatory, immune and hormone-adjusting effects.
No negative side effects are to be expected.

Methods:
This Broccoli broth was announced over the InterNet the patient. An
exact classification (NIH) of the participating patients was not made,
we assumed most of them had their regular examination done by their
urologists.
The patients voluntarily took the broccoli due to a preparing
prescription in form of a 5-7 minutes boiled broth. In the
prescription it was recommended to take to the Broccoli 7 days (in the
morning and in the evening soberly) and insert 3 days break. This
cycle of income and break should be repeated 3 time. Since the
procedure is not a usual clinical method, there is also unfortunately
no randomized placebo control. Also we could not control the observed
changes on the basis of the international symptom score (Nih cpsi).
There was as progress control only the feedback of the patients.

Results:
Of course we received different kinds of feedbacks. Although this
could have been made, we did not count and quantify the feedbacks, to
give no wrong impression of an accurate clinical procedure. Patients
who gained no or only little help was a clear minority. A large
majority of patients (usually with no bacterial findings) reported on
clear improvement of the symptoms. These reports are available in
written form (emails) and published in internet documents.

Conclusions:
Patients with chronic Prostatitis/CPPS can find significant relief of
their symptoms with broccoli broth. In order to support this with
scientific methods and clinical results, we recommend further
investigations.
Boiling the broth every morning is not an easy procedure for patients.
The active substances of the Broccoli could also be offered in the
form of tablets or juice.
We recommend to the physicians to offer this procedure to their
patients above all if antibiotics fail.

Absolutely

I have had Prostatitis for going on 4 months now and the Broccoli protocol has made a huge difference to my quality of life. I am currently on my third week of treatment so we'll see how it goes when I stop. I have some any accredited quercetin product waiting on standby in case my symptoms come back with a vengeance.

I know some people will find the broth inconvenient but I actually think it is quite easy to follow the plan by doing it like this:

1. Late evening, boil up the broth (from frozen brocolli) and store it in the fridge in a jar. This takes no more than 15 minutes total.

2. On waking the next morning (thus an empty stomach) I drink my first half of the broth. I then have a shower and get dressed, which takes comfortably more than the 20mins you have to allow between ingesting the broth and eating / drinking, so I can sit down to my breakfast shortly after and then go to work.

3. When I return from work that evening I usually haven't eaten anything for a few hours so it is once again an ideal time to take the broth. After consuming the broth, I make my evening meal which means that more than 20mins once again will pass before I eat.

Repeat the cycle as necessary and you're sorted !

Easy and effective :D

Are you still feeling better with Broccoli treatment?

I think I'll have to try this. Broccoli is essentially a wonderfood.

Definitely give it a go. I have to say, while I was on the Broccoli I was essentially pain free all the time - it was quite outstanding.

A week after I stopped my 21 days treatment I started to feel the prostatitis symptoms again, but only around 50% of the intensity prior to the treatment, dropping down to 25% or less on some days. I am at least able to work now which is great cos I need the dough

I have now been off the broccoli treatment for a few weeks and my prostatitis is not getting any worse which I am thankful for. I am now taking any accredited quercetin product which will hopefully help, and will definitely continue to implement the Broccoli treatment 3-4 times a year as recommended until I no longer need it.

Good luck !

Why not just eat the broccoli?

It's tasty and you would forgoe any damage to the nutrients that might occur due to the heat of boiling.

Is it presumed that the act of boiling activates these compounds?

I would think nibbling on a 1/2 kg of broccoli throughout the day would offer consistent exposure, much in the same way one eats small meals often to regulate blood sugar.

It may well work, but Ibrahim has obviously done his research and suggests to drink the juice so who am I to argue  I'm just happy that it works this way as it is so convenient for me. I think if I had to eat 250g of broccoli every day for 21 days I would be pretty fed up with it at the end up :D

ok I'm going to start this Brococoli therapy tonight..... I'll keep you informed on my progress.

I've been taking algonot plus for about 2 1/2 months, I guess instead of the 6 tablets a day for that, I will cut down to 2.

I read through a bunch of posts about Broccoli therapy on the google board and a LOT of people said they were helped by this.

I think it could come down to the whole thing with the nutrients and phytochemicals in the broccoli....

Scientists are just begining to learn about the tons of benefits of phytochemicals.

Good luck - I hope it works for you. Remember to follow his instructions to the letter, ie take it on an empty stomach, limit alcohol etc.

Oh and a tip - the juice from fresh broccoli tastes terrible for some reason, but all the frozen brands I tried tasted not too bad and still did the trick.

Broccoli therapy

Post by gpylgr »

Hi to everyone.

I am 35 yrs old, married and have a 3 yr old son.

I would like to say that after 4 years of Prostatitis,
many cycles of antibiotics, terrible sex life and a lot of pain,
I have finally seen relief using the Broccoli Therapy.

I had gotten sick of using and hoping for relief from
antibiotics and came accross this therapy which I am
only too happy to repeat every day of the year so
to speak. It has been 3 weeks after doing six 7-day cycles
of the broccoli broth and I have seen all pain gone,
libido increased, morning erections back, sperm color back
to white and quantity increased. I am hoping that
this situation will last. Hence I come to my question:

I only wish to post the following question:
Does anyone know whether the Broccoli Therapy
is a permanent cure to prostatitis?

Thanks in advance and
wishing good luck to all sufferers.

No one knows if it is a permanent cure. I doubt it. We have a page on broccoli here:
