A quick question- help!

Post by thebattler »

All

I have been battling this for about 9 months now and practice all the aspects of the SP and go to see Bill Taylor in Scotland. I have been to see Bill 3 times now and I have been physically experiencing something which I think/hope may be signs of an improvement.

I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this or had experienced something similar?

My pain is predominantly at the tip if my penis and this is pain referred by a very tender trigger point in my pelvis. Recently I have been in less pain and I have noticed that when I sit down I feel something I can only describe as like air bubbles rising from the one of end of my perineum to the other?

I am hoping that this maybe the muscle/tissue relaxing and the air supply/blood supply getting back to normal.

Can anyone put my mind at rest that this is normal and that they have experienced something like this?

Thanks

Those are fasciculations, which are a sign of the beginning of recovery for the muscle.

Search this site for the word "fasciculation".

I have experienced these in my perineum and rectum area many times in my recovery. I think they came about in my case from weakened or fatigued musles. Mainly my PC muscle, perineum and at times rectum. I believe this is a releasing and healing. As long as I'm not tensing or clenching throughout the day. Moment to moment relaxation of the pelvis is key to these muscles relaxing and releasing over time.

Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

I too have had these coincident with an improvement in symptoms. I had found it difficult to describe the feeling but air bubbles about sums it up.

P.S. what do you think of McLeish?

All

Thanks for your replies, I am definately feeling some improvement as I am only on one cushion at work and none on the train on the journey into and out of work!

I will keep bashing away at the internal trigger point until it is completely gone and then I am hopeful that I will learn to relax when I am not fighting the pain.

As for McLeish - I just hope he is as successful as the other Scottish managers in the premiership...a la Moyes and Fergie but maybe not Souness!!

I think Blues could have done a lot worse

Thanks again

James

Bubbles is a really good way of describing the feeling. I get this when I consciously relax my pelvis when I go to bed. It sometimes feels a bit like twitches, too.

I like twitches or spasm feeling. Because that's what it is.
