NLP / Time Line therapy / working with subconcious mind

Post by Viking »

Hey guys

My wife has just started studying to become an NLP (neuro linguistic programming) practitioner where they learn time line therapy and even hypnotherapy. From what she tells me, this all deals with "talking" to the subconscious mind. In parts of the program, they will learn to treat things like phobias and according to the program director, you can change pretty much anything a person want to change about him or herself. In time line therapy, the therapist takes the patient back in time to find out what started the event or way of thinking that resulted in certain behaviours. So according to this method of therapy, it should be easy to go back and find out why and when we started clenching our pelvic muscles and treat this behavior. Same goes for anxiety as well. Was it a result of something that happened early in our childhood. Obviously, we can`t remember it, but it is stored in our subconscious mind.

I find all of this very fascinating and was wondering if any of you have tried this type of therapy.

For me, it would certainly be very helpful to get rid of negative thoughts and underlying fear of CPPS.

I think that while this therapy may be useful, there is also a strong genetic component. You could have a genetic predisposition to CPPS, to anxiety and anxiety-spectrum disorders (they can now image OCD in the brain) and to pain syndromes generally.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
