Made Great Progress...but had a relapse - is this the cause?

Post by elitynski »

Well...I was feeling like I was pretty much out of the woods with any kind of frequency. I was walking, losing weight, going to PT - overall feeling like my old self.

However, just recently I felt some of the same frequent urges from the past. But a few things have changed:

1) I let some of the weight creep back on. (I had lost about 50lbs)

2) I started eating a less regimented / more processed diet including fast food.

3) My stress level with my family and work has multiplied. They just fired one of the guys in my dept and I'm taking over his job as well as my mom was just in the ER with some chest pain.

4) I'v neglected my walking (exercise program) because I've been so involved with work.

5) Because of my weight I had some edema (ie. Swelling) in my legs and that swelling had gone down. However do to the neglect of my diet, my legs have swollen again. Could the increased frequency be related to f my body trying to get rid of excess fluid??

So basically - all the good things I was doing...have gone by the wayside and coincidentally - I've seen some of my old symptoms return.

I'm not depressed or anxious - but I feel like by returning to OLD / BAD habits - I've sort of done this to myself again.

Do you guys concur with this?

BTW - I intend on returning to the good habits again. I think that this should probably reverse the cycle.

I didn't want to believe it. But yes, low-carb diet is helpful in prostatitis, at least to me.

Yes. To make a complex thing simple and stupid. The immune system feels the fitness of the whole body by certain chemical and hormone transmitters. If there is an inflammation (prostatitis) and there is low energy, too, the immune systems "thinks", it is a bigger problem and will send the whole troop. This costs a lot of energy again and the circle turns round. When you are fit the immune system acts more relaxed and the inflammation status (prostatitis) gets downregulated.

Bye, consuli.

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.
