Wild Hydrangea
Age: 30 | Onset Age:26 | Symptoms:Primary symptom is pain in the area of the perineum. Do not have frequent urination. Do not have golf ball feeling. Sometimes feel as though I have urine in the area of the perineum where if I try to urinate I can sometimes alleviate the pain. Pain can be described as sort of a burning/tightness discomfort. Usually do not feel that great when the pain is at its worse. Have seemingly also developed an acid reflux problem over the past couple years. | Helped By: Warm water, although dont seem to get much from other sources of heat, like heating pads. For some reason drinking alcohol seems to make my pain better. Not ejaculating for extended periods of time helps, but the longer I go without ejaculating, the worse its going to be once I do. Tried prosta-q and Q-Urol, both didn't do anything for me. Have been on multiple antibiotics, all of which did not help. Have tried pain killers, worthless. Elavil for a while, didn't seem to help either. | Worsened By: Sitting in certain chairs. Driving for an extended period of time. Ejaculation. Walking sometimes makes it seem worse. Basically moving around at all kinda bothers me.

It's nonsense. Apart from the completely erroneous take on what chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome is, the website claims that "science" proves hydrangea "has antibacterial properties", but I can find no published papers to that effect. Pubmed shows that it is a possible antimalarial, not antibacterial. There are no published papers linking hydrangea to prostatitis. The only possible link is a 1999 paper from Japan showing that some constituents of hydrangea have an inhibitory activity on histamine release (PMID: 10748718 ), but there are quite a few papers discussing hydrangea as a potent cause of allergic contact dermatitis, eg this paper.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
