Symptoms?

Post by rebel1 »

I have to ask just for my own sanity. I know chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome effects everyone in a different way, shape, or form. That being said, does anybody just have burning in their urethra with no other noticable symptoms (other than stress caused by our condition)? Sometimes I feel that my state differs greatly from what other people are going through.....

I have burning in the tip after masturbation sometimes. I would call this a condition, it goes away if I relax and dont think about it. I also dont think I would have that problem if I were having sex with a girl, maybe its the lubricant. How far up your urethra are we talking.

Worst case scenario, you get scoped. I went through it looking for something causing all my symptoms. I would think this would be of great benefit to you cause they can look directly at the thing that hurts. Maybe you have something down there obstructing things. Even though they found nothing on me, I am still glad I had it done.

I think you are going through something different. That is probably a good thing. I skimmed your first post for your background. I only skimmed it though. Also, I still think you can benefit from the forum and the stuff recommended here. Because I think you are going through something different, I feel you will grow out of this pretty fast. It hasnt even been a year. I bet there are tons of guys that had issues like that. I had a close friend who was saying he was having some pain in his testicles and his Urologist didn't seem to help. It seemed to go away on its own in a year.

The biggest thing recommended on this forum I would hope would be stress management which would help any condition.
Age: 26 | Onset Age: 20 | Symptoms: Used to be pain around the base of the penis, now I have golf ball in rectum feeling that can be very painful. | Helped By: kegal exercise/biofeedback (fixed ejaculation pain), antiinflamatory drugs, warm baths (intermediate term relief), hamstring stretching (very short term relief), the biggest being stress management | Worsened By: Stress, Standing for long periods, ejaculating used to make it worse, but not anymore

I had a cysto about 3 months ago. Nothing was found. Doctors have suggested my condition is just anxiety. After 2 uros, an internist, and a GP I guess I should just agree. However, the burning feels very real to me and is effecting my quality of life. Thanks for any input anyone may have......

That burning is a classic symptom. Caused by nerves that are causing inflammatory chemicals to be released. See the pelvic myoneuropathy link in my sig below.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

That is absolutely my main symptom and aways has been really. I dont think a direct trigger point deals with this pain. I just think that it is perhaps nerves / mast cells and calms down when the whole pelvis loosens up. One PT session I had relieved this pain for 2 weeks so its all related!
Age: 29 | Onset Age: 26 | Symptoms: initially severe burning throughout pelvis - much better; muscles spasms all over region, back pain, chronic IBS (much better) | Helped By: Psychotherapy, SP stretches, swimming, accepting the condition (understanding there is treatment); stress/anxiety management; possibly basic quercetin; valerian root, vit B & calc & magn supplements; gluten avoidance & especially dealing with chronic constipation. | Worsened By: stress / anxiety, too much sex; repressed emotions; personality goodist traits. 80% better
