A relief to find you...

Post by Alai »

Gentlemen,

I would like to congratulate on adding to a brilliant website - it has been a great relief for me today to read so many 'expert' views!

I have been diagnosed with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome in the last few weeks and have typical symptoms: ie: pain in tip of penis and lower abdomen when sitting, and - particlualy - exruciating lower back pain.

I have just ordered some Alogont 3 in 1 and I have purchased Prostanol (I found it in a UK health store) to see what that'll do until the Algonot arrives. This is after trying various antibiotics (which eased but faled to eradicate intitial painful symptoms).

Any advise on what else I can attempt - especially for the back and pelvic pain?? I am 30 and love playing sport and leading an active life. I have had my symptoms for around 6 months.

I've found releif in a healthy diet, exercise, warm baths, vitamin supplements and regular stretching of the leg and lower abdominal area.

I currently take the following each day

multivitamin for active men with lots of vitamin c
Saw Palmetto, natural extract with pygeum, stinging nettle and pumpkin seed
Quercetin
Zinc 50mg
Flomax .4mg
Motrin 400mg 2x per day

Good luck

Hi Akia,

Thanks for the advise. I managed to get most of what you recommended on the vitimin supplement front, so I'll see how it goes. I'll also stick to my regular stretches and exercise patterns.

Akia, did you have similar symptems then? Ie: lower back and pelvic pain esp. after exercising?

And, when you say this routine provided reflief, do you mean that the symtoms subsided or just that they became tolerable?

I have been truely lucky and not had any or very little perineum or back pain.

I do find that during and after exercise my symptoms can be a little aggitated.

Since starting this routine my symptoms have not completely disappeared but I do have times of 'normality' and my symptoms when they are around are much more bearable.

I hope this helps and gives hope.
