Apparently someone who attends the same yoga center as I do has a Rife Machine at home, so there's a chance I could be giving it a try in the near future. I know this is an old post, but does anyone here have any experience?

Wow, that's interesting to say the least. I didn't see this post because it was before my symptoms developed.

Have to say I'm more than a bit skeptical about it. Even if this thing works as advertised, that is, it can use sonic wave to target specific cells, such as cancer, bactria, candida .. etc etc.. basically, anything that made the headlines as the culprit for chronic problems. I have to wonder, how the sonic wave know the bad stuff from the good?

The only possible explanation for such a hidden miracle is a grand conspiracy theory. Hardly possible since the scientists I know would sell their soul to devil if they can somehow validate such a device.

Moderators and or the webmaster should archive this thread or move it. New sufferers will only get confused from this thread.

Why have we not heard back from the author of this thread in 2 years??? This to me is a bunch of hog wash!!! This will in no way help Men who have CP/CPPS and associated luts. Just my opinion, but this is sending the wrong message to new posters who are not familiar with some of the old attempts at treating this. I'm not doubting that these methods can help people with certain illnesses, but I really believe this approach is completely irrelevant to the theory of pelvic myoneuropathy and neurogenic inflammation.

Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

I'm fully recovered and have been 100% symptom free well before my last post. I sold off the equipment I used and don't even think about the problem anymore. It's done with. Hope the rest of you are able to say this asap for all of you, truly!

That's wonderful that you are 100% symptom free. I tend to think other factors have also added to your recovery. Best to you... :)

Also I will state that Gegatso said the protcol did not work for him, so maybe his pain and inflammation was not due to pelvic myoneuropathy? Who knows, since this condition is stress related and manifests in many Men's heads when catastrophic thinking takes over. Again I'm glad there is 1 less sufferer in this fight.

Hmm. Though it does seem suspicious, I'm not sure we should jump to the conclusion that Gegatso did not/does not suffer from pelvic myoneuropathy just because the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol didn't work for him, or that he found relief through another method. Presumably SP doesn't resolve the problems of everyone who goes through it. Great that he is symptom-free though!

You are right Londoner! I'm not doubting that Gegatso had suffered from some sort of inflammation and pain. Correct me if I'm wrong here? Is not Pelvic myoneuropathy and neurogenic inflammation a theory? The SP protocol in fact will not work for every one who suffers from PM. You are right I should not conclude that Gegatso did not have some form of PM. When someone posts that they got rid of this problem by hooking up to a machine, my internal red flag comes up. The best to him and every one who contributes to this website to help others get better.... Still not a believer though....

Following this positive response to your treatment, have you any idea or hunch what your medical problem is/was?
Thank you! I hope it lasts as well! :) It's really liberating not to have to take a donut with me to sit on everywhere I go!
My best hunch as to what I have/had is some sort of "universal '-itis' condition." I had all of the symptoms of prostatitis (pain and burning when urinating, pain in the prostate, difficulty urinating, testicle pain, discharge, etc..) I also had a cystoscopy which showed that I had inflammation in the bladder as well as my prostate.
I think prostatitis and IC are related and probably put me in the catagory of "CPPS", even though three uro's kept saying it was the two other disorders.
I sincerely appreciate the good wishes and hope that yourself and everyone else on here finds their own way to treat this awful thing.

And to think I had faith in broccoli broth at one time.

*Not medical advise*
Again I'm not trying to start anything here but it's my understanding that a cystoscopy can not show if the prostate is inflamed because a cystoscopy can not look into the prostate but only at the area of the prostatic urethra and the ducts. I had a cystoscopy and I have to at some point believe the very good uro's that I have been lucky to have here in Los Angeles.
You can however see if the bladder is inflamed by cystoscopy and shooting water inside it. Right or am I wrong here? I'm not a doctor but I'm no dummy either....

You have an internal red flag? Maybe you should get that checked out! :-D

Seriously, though... I believe totally in the whole theory of pelvic myoneuropathy.

I'm just a bit wary of jumping to conclusions over anybody's success since noone seems totally to understand this syndrome.

I realise that the machine that cures us is a very seductive and possibly dangerous idea and people need - to some extent - to be protected from false hopes.

But I think we should try always to be as open-minded as possible.

  Now that's humor!! Now who said English men did not have a sense of humor!! That was some funny stuff there.

Again my friend I have no argument with the above, well said. Besides my loyalty to you runs deep since you were one of the first to respond to my first post when I was lost and scared. You helped ease my fears and put this into perspective. Now I'm just lost....

Cheers...

You can read about Gegatso's initial symptoms here.

I am uncertain whether or not to move this to the Success Stories forum. I don't think Gegatso is pushing this treatment for commercial or other dishonest reasons, but I'm not sure that he simply did not get better for other reasons (he did try other treatments), then ascribe the cure to this machine.

For instance, shortly before he got CPPS, he had hernia surgery. Surgery (trauma) is a well known cause of pelvic myoneuropathy, and he could have simply got over it, which can happen. He also took Baclofen (brand names Kemstro and Lioresal), which puts a heavy brake on neurological activity, and may have aided by calming the pelvic nerves. In addition, he used Elmiron and Quercetin, inter alia.

He also reported having "none of my usual symptoms" BEFORE starting with the RFT machine!

Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Mark, I don't think Gagatso is dishonest. His post on his symptoms is real and he suffered for sure. His case could of been very much injury related and he just may have healed and been done with it. Wish it was that way for all of us.

My whole point of why I stepped into this thread was recently I have seen more and more new posters that are coming out from behind the reading side and starting to write their thoughts, worries and cases. I find it so compelling that most of these men if not all of them have some sort of anxious disposition. So I'm more certain then ever that anxiety is the fuel and the ingredient is all other factors. The cascade of events that trigger it all. So when new posters come and read about this guy getting better from some machine he hooked himself on, it becomes clearly misdirectional. If I were new to this site remembering how desperate I was and I read this post, no doubt I would of jumped on that band wagon and bought that unit. That's the scary part of this illness. The fear you have to do anything to not think about it and look for the quick fix. That's all: buyer beware....Glad he has recovered, but I doubt it was that machine that cured him but rather everything He did over a period of time and maybe that unit contributed to his mental....

This guy has found 'a cure'. Let's just say, to be safe, he's found relief. That's what everyone coming to this site is looking for, so it's seductive and compelling.

We can probably quite confidently pronounce on what's going on: OK, it LOOKS as though there may be a large dose of placebo at work. Placebo is a powerful effect, so powerful that it can actually cure - but you have to really believe.

And Gegatso has built the gadget himself. That must surely increase his placebo experience, lovingly having crafted this cure-machine with his bare hands.

You can't, he says, even buy what he has built. The pre-built $2000 Rife machines aren't the same, he says. And for all we, peering in from afar, can know what's inside his machine, it could just as easily be a crystal or a sausage as electronic, wave-creating circuitry. But we can't know unless we've tried it. And I'm uncomfortable pronouncing on someone's 'cure' unless I or a number of others have tried it.

Someone has said they have access to a Rife machine. We have to assume that's the nearest thing to Gegatso's gadget - well, let's see if they get such profound symptomatic relief as Gegatso. Somehow I doubt it - clearly if this thing could fix cancer, CPPS, broken legs, Middle-East conflict etc. it would have caught on whatever the suppressive acts of the evil drug companies. But we don't know for absolute certainty.

To be honest, I feel - and others will disagree with me - that even false hope is better than no hope, as it can keep you going for a little while, and there is a time-factor going on here. Nanobacteria treatment was my false hope and I invested a few hundred dollars in that - but it at least got me through another 3 months.

I'd like to say that I really do NOT recommend that anyone goes down the route of buying or building an expensive Rife machine. I suspect they don't work. But I wouldn't blame them for trying.

To each their own. What ever it takes to push on through. Hey if doctors can't for the most part help us then what do we have to lose.
