Hello Folks.

Post by dandyman »

Been doing a lot of post reading in here and I have read the Stanford book. I've had the pelvic pain for almost four years and I'm 67 years old.
I've tried some exercises but I guess that's not enough. My pain is mostly when setting and cushions with a split in the middle doesn't help.
I've called my insurance abut the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol but can't get a straight answer on what they will cover. The only comfy chair is the toilet seat.

I've been fighting the pelvic pain for four years, mostly when setting. It's like setting on a spear. I have an over sized bladder that doesn't drain all the way. Three and a half years of meds and a microwave treatment did nothing.I'm considering the Standord thing though I don't know how well Medicare covers. I'm 67 years old.

One more thing. When I happen to fall asleep in my chair the pain goes away. When I wake up I'm ok for about a minute and then the pain returns full force. I guess this proves that relaxation has a lot to do with it.

Greetings Dandyman. If you post in the Main Forum, people are more likely to find you.

Always glad to see another old geezer. It gets lonely in here with the boys!
I am not a doctor too!
Age 64, sudden onset 5/06 during bout of flu, colitis, lung and liver problems. Pain in penis, then moved to rectum. No urinary symptoms. Use Lyrica, Elavil, paxil, Xanax, morphine, vicodin, relaxation, pads for sitting, 100+ PT sessions. Sensitive to gluten, milk protein, soy. I have CFS, anxiety, GERD, Barrett's, colitis, kidney stones, one of which referred pain to penis.

Thanks for the info and I'll move the post.
Don't know if those drugs would help me or not.
