Hello everyone,
Life is still treating me pretty good these days. Many already know my story but for those who don't here it is in a nutshell:
History:
Bad pain for over a decade, not just pelvic but low back, heartburn, depression, anxiety and even considered suicide.
Life these days over the last year or so:
Excellent, 99% of time feel 100% improved in every way both physically and emotionally\mentally. It is like I have gone from the depths of hell right on up to heaven on earth. I am a father now and for the first time in a long time I feel happy, healthy and at peace.
What worked for me:
What worked and continues to work for me is a healing approach from both Mind and Body.
Body - Trigger point massage is the primary thing here. I have learned how to do Trigger point massage on myself using a Theracane for external spots and a Wand for the internal pelvic stuff. There is little in life that is more empowering than being able to fix your own pain.
The general approach here is from the Claire Davies Trigger point book and the Headache in the Pelvis book.
Mind - The Byron Katie Enquiry Work is the primary thing here. By seriously practicing this method more and more over time stressful emotions go away because stressful beliefs become disarmed. I have experienced some of the most profound states of peace ever doing this work. Of course when the stress reduces the body and mind feel much much better - I cannot emphasize this enough and I would say that the Mind aspect is every bit as important as the Body aspect because muscles relax and heal better when there is less stress. Consider this: My Physical Therapist has been in the field for close to 15 years and she says that in her practice the patients that also work on the emotional\Mind aspect tend to get much better as compared to those who only work on the Body aspect. I truly believe this also was the case for myself. For those interested in the Byron Katie work the website is http://www.thework.com and there are plenty of free materials and resources on the site.
It is a beautiful empowering thing to be able to undo your pain and your stress by yourself. And in my experience the two methods above do this better than anything could.
I would strongly encourage all who are currently suffering to immerse themselves in these two powerful healing tools.
Regards,
NoMoPain

I have to agree with this. I found Alan Watts very helpful. You can get his lectures free on bittorrent.NoMoPain wrote:My Physical Therapist has been in the field for close to 15 years and she says that in her practice the patients that also work on the emotional\Mind aspect tend to get much better as compared to those who only work on the Body aspect.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

I agree that Byron Katie's work and books are well worth reading and following her advice and techniques. Both my wife and I work hard at 'loving what is' and it really does work and helps change your view of situations.
I love reading posts like yours - where you've come through hell and life is now wonderful. All the very best to you, your partner and your child. Life is good!
Richard.
