Red Wine improving Quercetin action

Post by Caretaker »

Hello all, I am new to this board and have been diagnosed with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome last November. I went through a course of Zithromax that did not change anything and went on 3 months on Vibramycin without any effect. (classic!)

I experienced with variable intensity many of the symptoms seen in chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (see my signature). I have tried at the beginning the broccoli juice treatment for 4 weeks which did improve the symptoms. I presumed this was helping presumably due to the quercetin. I therefore tried any accredited quercetin product and found to be effective in controlling voiding and alleviating pain symptoms but not at 100%.

This week, I discovered that the symptoms seemed to improve if I had 2-3 cups of red wine in evening (after I took Quercetin). The dull pain at the tip of the penis disappeared almost completely and so as the voiding issues during the next day.

I looked for a scientific explanation and discovered this study:
http://www.nature.com/bjp/journal/v147/ ... 6662a.html

In short, it showed that red wine facilitates Quercetin absorption which may explain the benefits I noticed.

Has anyone notice this effect?
Age: 37 | Onset Age: 37 | Symptoms: variable but include: frequency to urinate, discomfort in tip of penis (including occasional tingling), pelvic pain, pain in left inner leg/left testis, heat and sweat between legs | Helped By: Q-Urol or prosta-Q, taurine, hot bath, not sitting long hours, red wine (high in Quercetin I think, which reduces voiding a lot), stretching legs, pidgeon pause | Worsened By: sitting long hours, sitting in car .

Now I am cured!! Search for my posts on Harachair and squatting. I believe the symptoms are all caused by a misalignment of the pelvic bones that strains the muscles.

OR, you got the muscle relaxation effects of the wine.

For me, 2-3 glasses helps, too, it takes off the edge and allows those muscles to relax.

I think its the relaxing effect in my opinion.....

Regars,
