Urethral Pain HELP!!
Hi!
I'm 22 years old. and I'm from Spain. I have urethral pain since 2002. I dont know what can I do to make better.
Urologists can't help me. Does anybody have urethral pain?
I have gone to 4 urologists, none of them gave any importance to my problems. The tests all give normal results. But the urethral pain does not go away. I have had diagnoses of all types: abacterial chronic prostatitis, prostatodynia, urinary dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain. The time passes and my quality of life diminishes. I believe that my pain is caused by some alteration in the central nervous system.
I believe that it is a neuromuscular problem and that the pudendal nerve is affected, or some neurotransmitter. I have read is that the pudendal nerve is the one in charge to signal of temperature of urethra. Thanks for your answers.
Normally the pain is continuous, in a same day can vary in intensity. Also I have periods with little pain. Sometimes the pain usually is after urination and continues until the following urination. Generally always after the ejaculation it hurts my urethra. What advice can you give me? That treatment and tests require that possible inflammation of the neck of bladder (vejiga)? Could it be dyssynergia (inability to coordinate voluntary muscle movements)?

Hi Victor. There is good news for you. You are in the right place to get the tools you need to slowly get better.
Get the book "A headache in the Pelvis" 4th version. This will help you understand the theory behind pelvic myoneuropathy, neurogenic inflammation and referred pain.
Start stretching every day. Use yoga stretches to begin with. Those stretches are similar to the pelvic stretches in the book.
Get your self a free sample of Quercetin from Quercetin supplier in this web site.
Are you prone to anxiety? If so, look into the many possibilities to help calm you down. Start a simple form of relaxation through out the day. Be aware of the possibility of tensing your muscles. Try something called moment to moment relaxation. Be aware of your muscles in your perineum area. The same muscles you use to orgasm and push urine out after you are done. Lots of Men tend to squeeze those muscles through out the day during moments of stress or just being physical. Relax your stomach, don't suck it in to look like you have a flat stomach. Let it fall like a Buddha belly.
Most importantly, know that this is something you can make better and not some doctor that will give you a magic pill. Like our friend GP2 says read this forum fully to gain knowledge. Peace

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

Do you only have urethral burning? If thats it, no spasm, no difficulty urinating such as urge/frequency, split stream, your issues may be more related to diet or allergies.
Elaborate on your symptoms. I assume youve tried antibiotics to no avail.
I would try any accredited quercetin product or Quercetin, an antihistamine (not the D variety), and prelief. Begin a stretching routine mimicing the ones we discuss here and in the AHIP. See if that works.
But, elaborate further on your symptoms.
Regards,
Ss

Thank you very much by your answers.
I am the creator of the Spanish forum of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and have read much on CPPS.
In the Spanish forum we have found cases of success with the apliación of ozonoterapia via uretral.
Do you know about it something?
Best Regard from Barcelona

Lost in translation here Victor. Are you speaking of Ozone/ Oxidative therapy?? I have not read any information here in this forum on men using this type of therapy for CP/CPPS. Maybe someone else here has some insightful information regarding this type of approach.victorspain wrote:Thank you very much by your answers.

Ozone therapy is out there on the experimental fringe. I wouldn't do it.

VictorSpain - This sounds very much like one of my symptoms. I get a feeling of discomfort in the tip of my penis AFTER urinating (not WHILE urinating). It lasts anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. It's not exactly pain...I'd call it discomfort or extreme sensitivity. It also feels like the outside of the penis is senstive as well...very sensitive to touch, etc. Is this what you have?
If so, I guess the good news is that we have similar symptoms. The bad news is that I don't have any suggestions on what works to fix it. In my cases the symptoms come and go, but I have not established the cause yet.

When I was symptomatic, penile sensitivity was an intermittent feature. It got so bad that I could not stand to have my penis touch my underpants when walking, and I had to put my hand in my pocket and hold the pants and underpants away from the penis like a tent.
It is nerve related. It passes. It is not present at all when you get better.

Agreed. And though I posted this before, what helps me is a simple, basic, athletic cup. If I'm in a "sensitive" state, the cup holds the material away from me. So there's no friction...makes a big difference.

I believe that the problem is in a neurogénica inflammation of the pudendos nerves, that become inflamed and desinflaman and that as well produce a contraction of the muscles that surround uretra.
I believe that I am going to use injections of PROCAINA in low diluído doses. NEURALTERAPIA is called.
I believe that there is an increased activity of the nerves that surround the uretral sphincter and of the pain there.
The sphincter when we are tinkling lets have nervous activity, for that reason it hurts to us just after tinkling.
