newbie- urinary symptoms

Hello folks- I have had something now for about 2 months. My first symptom was the feeling urine being in my urethra during sexual arousal. My symptoms now seem to be derivative of that. There is an almost constant feeling of urine in my urethra. Usually when I urinate I don't have to go, I choose to go to try and get rid of this left over urine. I have never had the pain that most speak of but my heart goes out to those that do.

So, I went to a uro- he said that my prostate was inflamed. He gave me Cipro and said go home. I wanted a 2nd opinion. The next Dr. said that he didn't know exactly what was wrong with me but that my prostate was normal. Well okay, it would be nice to know for sure.
If it is IC then well okay, I'll try to deal with it the best I can. However, i've never had the pain that others usually desrcibe. Could it be a stricture or narrowing of some kind? I know this is rare but with symptoms like mine it seems like at a possibility. To be more specific- if, right now, I drank a gallon of water, obviously I would have to urinate. The first urination would be pretty good. After that I would urinate a few more times to try and get rid of the "left over" urine. I'm 27 years old and in otherwise good health. I'm not a diabetic either... apparently urinary symptoms can indicate blood sugar problems, but I was tested and I'm not a diabetic. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I have no idea what's going on, but a cystoscopy could rule out some conditions, like a stricture. More on this

Mark- Well I hope for the best but at the same time I think I am going to join your club here

.. if you'll have me. I've heard a lot thrown around about strictures but are there other diseases of the urethra that can cause symptoms like mine? the most annoying being the left over urine in my urethra that I just can't get out. I know it's urine and not just an odd feeling because the urine is the first thing to come out on ejaculation. Dr. D? Dr.S?

Clear fluid at start of ejaculation is not necessarily urine.

Well okay- but it is certainly different from any normal pre-ejaculatory fluid. BTW- I'm having a cytoscopy in April.

That should be able to rule out physical abnormalities.
