Cheap is only good if it is effective.
Not all supplements are.

This board tends to favor any accredited quercetin product and its sister product.

I have used Solgar Quercetin for several years now - it is good and affordable

See

Try a few different brands until you find one that works and you can afford.

Quercetin is the only the only brand with reliable amounts of Quercetin (some brands have virtually no quercetin despite what they state on the label, as shown by tests). Why take a chance of getting minimal or no quercetin for a measly saving of $10 or $20? Your health is at stake!

Furthermore Quercetin suppliers, who make Quercetin, is the only company that has funded studies into the effect of quercetin and catalytic co-ingredients on our disorder.

Studies have shown that the addition of the other ingredients in any accredited quercetin product makes the quercetin in any accredited quercetin product much more effective than plain quercetin.

Quercetin suppliers also supports this forum, so for that reason alone we should buy their products in preference.

Mark,

I can't seem to order any accredited quercetin product over the net and get the benefit of the offer as it keeps requiring payment. I have emailed Quercetin suppliers & await a response. Do I have to call them to benefit from the offer? I'm in the UK & not sure how to call internationally!!

Thanks

Greg

They are not there now (Thanksgiving long weekend), but call +1(310)444-9800 next week, or I'm sure they will answer your email.

Thanks Mark,

I have just read your success story for the first time. What can I say - you are a persistent guy.

I'm just wondering - I conclude from my reading on this forum that you can go down the Stanford route or the drug / phytotherapy / supplements route or a bit of both. I'm predicting that you may still have TP's in your pelvic floor but they now don't effect you because your controlling the consequences i.e. nerve stimulation / mast cell & histamine production. You say you hope that over time when the anti-histamines have eventually left your body you my be "cured" so to speak. Do you still believe that?

Finally do you believe that all these medications / supplements etc can help all men to some degree depending on your individual reactions to specific products? In other words even if you are a chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferer with extensive TPs and prone to stress / anxiety as opposed to a chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferer who has many allergies can you benefit (very generally termed)? From your post I'm thinking you can?

Thanks

Greg

I'm as cured as I have the inclination to be, in other words I'm sure I could chase down the occasional twinge I get, once in a blue moon, and try to expunge it with physiotherapy and TrPt treatment, but it's just not worth it to me right now because the vestigial symptoms are so negligible. I know I should be doing stretches and finding trigger points, and maybe one day I shall, if I'm bored

But I got this way through years of relaxation and stress avoidance, tons of rest, dietary modification, a period of self internal massage, phytotherapy and more. I think I'm like a lot of the posters who come to this website and eventually leave, so much better that the topic loses interest for them.

Yes, and it's probably up to your genes as to whether you gain benefit or not. It's certainly worth trying! None of these interventions is very expensive compared to some of the drugs used to treat other conditions. And phytotherapy is worth trying whether or not you consider yourself to be atopic (allergy prone).

I fretted for ages recently that if I didn't get PT right & I didn't see the right physical therapist I was doomed. Now I know that not to be true. I know being the type of person I am that phytotherapy & antihistamines etc would be the better route for me. I frankly dont trust myself to get PT / self - treatment right. I also think you need time & dedication to persist with a Theracane night after night. To be honest I'm a disorganized & spontaneous, undisciplined kind of guy (this may all have to change).

I may not get the PT exactly right but I believe that psychotherapy (I'm already becoming a lot calmer & less perfectionist), quercetin in larger doses, possibly anti -hist / alpha blockers will do it for me. I'll play sport & swim to generally keep those pelvic muscles lose but I'll accept TPs in my pelvis and a moderate amount of pain for the rest of my life if I have to.

Once you start fighting this condition & not being scared of it (i refuse to empower it by saying how bad it is) I think that's when you start winning so to speak. That's what I'm doing now & I think, touch wood, I'll get there!
