Please please help me find a PT!

Post by joehansen12 »

I had a bad flareup after a long time. I have decided now to go ahead and get myself checked up by a good PT. Even if it means I need to travel outside Utah.

I can travel to California, Colorado, Chicago or any place close to Utah.

Question 1: I'd like to be seen by Tim Sawyer. Is there anyway I can get an appointment with him without attending the 6 day Stanford Clinic? If so, what's his address and phone number?

Question 2: If not Tim, then I would like to be seen by Rhonda Kotarinos or a PT trained by her. Is that possible in reasonable frame of time?

Question 3: Anyone other than Tim and Rhonda, who are experts in this area and are somewhere on the West Coast or Midwest, who I can see quickly?

Thanks for your help!

Have you tried the therapist finder at

http://www.pelvicpain.org/findmd.asp

There are several in Utah.
I am not a doctor too!
Age 64, sudden onset 5/06 during bout of flu, colitis, lung and liver problems. Pain in penis, then moved to rectum. No urinary symptoms. Use Lyrica, Elavil, paxil, Xanax, morphine, vicodin, relaxation, pads for sitting, 100+ PT sessions. Sensitive to gluten, milk protein, soy. I have CFS, anxiety, GERD, Barrett's, colitis, kidney stones, one of which referred pain to penis.

I tried it, the search comes up empty no matter which state you select.

Thanks for the replies, Clay!

I have booked an appointment with Janet Myshral, (801) 486-7542, located in SLC, UT. She said that she specializes in pelvic floor therapy and has treated a LOT of women and a few men since 6 yrs. She even accepts my insurance, which is great! Hopefully she can help me. Has any one seen Janet Myshral before?

I had seen Bonnie Hensley before. She used Strain/Counter Strain and thats not the best way to deal pelvic pain I believe.

If it doesn't work out with Janet, I plan to fly to Las Vegas to see Tina Baum. Any experience with Tina Baum, anyone?

Thanks again for the help Clay!

Regards,
Joe.
