Hello, I decided to edit my story because in the end, we all have the same goal to heal and feel better. I wish all of you the best and thank you.

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

Flu frequently sets off a limited bout of mild depression, which can exacerbate underlying anxiety.
I have had on and off anxiety for 13 years and I'm wondering if this is a major source of this issue.
Yes, it definitely is.
Now one of my main complaints is burning or pressure in my perineum and it spasms a few inches above the anus if I sit to long or after sex. I did not have this when this started and was wondering if this is just part of the syndrome.

It is.
I had another Urologist who was covering for my current uro tell me I also have an over active bladder? I need to speak with my current Uro on this. Has anyone else have this as well as the non bacterial prostatitis? and does one influence the other?
CPPS, IC and OAB are difficult to tell apart, pain usually being the distinguishing factor.
I even had a food allergy test done for gluten and other foods which I showed no reaction, but this was on the skin, but my thought is if it does not effect my skin then my prostate should be OK with this as well??
Skin sensitivity tests are pretty useless.
I also play drums and thought that the impact of my seat contributed as well.
Drumming would involve a lot of tense sitting, it seems to me -- not good.

You seem to be on the right track generally. although I'm surprised you're asking us if anxiety is important after reading this forum and A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

IC and chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome are characterized by pain. However, people with OAB have reported big improvements with the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol. Bladder scopes are only useful when they actually show Hunner's ulcers or glomerulations, and they usually don't, no matter what you have wrong.
