How long to heal from stricture removal

Post by jhferry »

I had a scope done at a hospital on Monday to see what is causing this
prostatitis. Sure enough, I had a stricture towards the end of my
urethra towards the tip of my penis. Now maybe its the location and all
that is still swollen down there but I am having major flow problems.
How long can I expect this to take to heal?

I also still have a lot of sitting pain. I don't think the cysto took care of my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome although I was hoping it did.

I am still waiting for results of a biopsy for tumors removed in my bladder but was told not to worry about it so I won't until I need to.

What a week.

Cysto won't do anything for the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome I imagine..I've had 5 of them. I also had some stricture repairs and it didn't help the CPPS. I wouldn't worry about the stricture if it's right near the tip of your penis, they can dilate that easily - and might even let you dilate it yourself. I'd give yourself a week or so, you've been through a lot it sounds like.
Age: 31; age at onset: 18; symptoms: perineum pain, joint pain, pain in back, pain on left or right testicle, very bad fatigue, malaise, frequent/urgent urination (good stream though), weak/muted orgasms with symptoms getting worse after orgasm, anxiety, depression, 3 surgeries to repair bad strictures (urethrotomy and urethroplasties).
