I have read the section on RSA breathing in A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS aabout 6 times and still don't understand it.
Why does this have to be so complicated with continuous pulse monitoring and all?
How important is this anyway before relaxation?
It seems like any slow relaxed breathing would work. No?
Has anyone eles had a problem with this RSA thing?

In my mind all you need to care about is to get into the relaxation state. Just sit quietly and concentrate on your breath. Whenever your mind gets distracted bring it back to your breath. As soon as you get into deep relaxation, your breath and pulse rate will slow down automatically.
There is not much to it but it is not easy at first.
