TMS #2 100% healed -- Dr John Sarno

Post by kjarvis »

I just wanted to say again to look into Dr. John Sarno and TMS (tension myositis syndrome) I am 100% free from this condition through working with emotions repressed and councious. I know some people on this site are resistant to this fact because the pain is so real, and it is. Ya there may be trigger points, but ther are also trigger points in patients with all sorts of tension problems that don't cause a life time of pain.

I have credicility here I suffered from pain in the penis, incontinance, severe buttock pain, golfball in the anus feeling, retro ejaculation and bladder pain, all of this is non existant as of now.

I will not be on this forum much so I can be emailed at [email protected] I received so much support from this forum when all of this first started and feel I would be abandoning people if I did not share what I learned.

If you are hesistant atleast look into it, it can't hurt you.

Which Sarno Book?

Post by adam »

I would like to give this author a read. He appears to have a handful of books on the market.

Can anyone recommend which to start with? Is his newer book inclusive of the material covered in his previous works? There have been multiple posts discussing his book on overcoming backpain.

Thanks.

Not just back pain.

Post by kjarvis »

The author uses back and neck pain as the most common form of TMS, however Chronic Prostatitis is mentioned in his books more than a few times.

I would start with "The Mind Body Prescription" and then #2 "Healing Back Pain" and #3 The Divided Mind"

You will heal this condition with this knowledge.

Hey KJarvis,

I am doing largely better. My symptoms only consist of a mild irritation from sitting too much, or a mild perineal irritation if I maintain an erection for longer than an hour or so.

The emotional connection with my pain is direct, in that specific things people say or events lead to pain (which I quickly discharge by relaxing my muscles.)

And mild ischemia does seem a reasonable source of the problem. But I am not 100% better. I'm 99% better (and very happy, too.)

Can you recommend some way to apply Sarnot to get that last 1% accomplished. I've read "The Mind Body Prescription" and even applied the workbook by one of his former students.

But that last 1% doesn't seem to respond to my knowledge of the mind body connection.

This is not medical advice, and I am NOT a doctor of medicine or a related field.
* Age:33 Onset: February 2004.
* 99.9% IMPROVEMENT in 2.5 Years with the first year being the really hard part
* Current Symptoms: Mild irritation of perineal muscles on occasion. Relieved for days at a time by a specific stretch (see below).
* Initial Symptoms: Terrible penile, urethral, rectal, and perineal burning/aching with addition afferent sensations.
* Current Treatments: Deep stretching of the legs and pelvis. Most effective: Deep psoas and levitar ani stretch using the first phase of the "pigeon pose" from Yoga. When a deep pulling is felt in the middle of the pelvis next to the upper rectum, symptoms are completely alleviated for several days.
* Past Treatments Hyperprotection of the perineum for 1.7 years, Walking, Rectal biofeedback, Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol, Conditioned deep relaxation practice, Men's Multi-Vitamin and an Extra B-complex pill, all seemed to help.
