Finally It?

Post by jonestpauper »

Going in for a cystoscopy to unroof(drain) an abscess on my prostate. That should have been found and done 5yrs. ago. It took a newer younger
Dr. to recommend the Biopsy on me at 37yrs. old, just to find the abscess.

I sure hope this is it. 5yrs. of Prostate, Urethra, Pelvic,Thigh, and foot arch pain, not to mention the depression. I'm wishing for the day that I can though all of my medication away and never have to use it again, ever.

Wish me luck!!!

Yes. Please keep us updated. I've always wondered how many of us have some rational, obvious explanation for our pain that just has not been found yet due to the poor attention most of us receive from 5-minute doctor visits.

Good luck!

Pediatric Emergency...

Post by jonestpauper »

They told me to be at the surgery room at 1:30p.m. I fasted for 12hrs. and had nothing to drink for the same amount of time, as they instructed.
I sat there in the waiting room for over 4hrs. waiting to go into surgery.
The nurse finally comes up to me after they find out how pissed-off I am.
She explains that the Doctor had a pediatric emergency earlier in the morning and everyone's scheduled surgery was thrown off. I ask her why they didn't contact me at home to let me know before I drove 50 miles to sit in the hospital for over 4hrs. She had no explanation. I said I'm going home, because she couldn't give met an answer as to when I would be going into surgery. The poor guy in surgery before me, I heard they
ran into some problems with him on the operating table as to another reason why they were so later.

So, I got cheated out of my appointment and possible healing that day. I've already rescheduled the appointment and will be seen by a more experienced doctor.

Will keep you informed.....

All done...

Post by jonestpauper »

23-Mar-06 was my cysto and ultra sound appt. Doctor says everything looked
fine except for the prostate feeling a little soggy. Said I'm still suffering from
prostatitis and perineal pain. He did'nt find any sign of an abcess on the prostate as I was hoping he would and unroof it.
Now back home and feeling the same old pain 24/7. Just have to keep trying.
Concentrate on stretching/relaxing, dieting, meditating and living positive.
Good Luck to All of Us!

Of course there was no absyss......the problem is in our minds. Until some of us really grasp this concept.....we'll never get over this problem. The prostate is boggy because of reduced circulation/oygen in the pelvic floor.
Go get a colonic. For many people with actual prostate problems...colonics can work wonders. When the large intestine is full it tends to lay on the prostate. Getting a colonic could reverse this condition and help with your symptoms.

That's a sweeping generalization. I completely agree that our mental state plays a BIG part in increasing muscle tension, anxiety and pain, and is a key component of CPPS. However, this condition is NOT all in our minds. There are physical manifestations of tension and trigger points which are real, and which cause grave psychological strain for many of us. The psychological strain exacerbates everything, and makes it hard to heal. Removing this mental burden is key to reducing the pain, but the pain IS real, and is not solely caused by our thoughts.

Well said CPPSDAD. This condition is theclassic vicious cycle.

Of course, it's resolution is also the classic virtuous cycle, with good easing the whole condition and compounding itself.

A vicious cycle indeed. Whether pain originates due to physical problems, or due to anxiety and tension, or due to an injury, it all leads to the same place for many of us - a vicious cycle of pain, where all of those things lead to the other things and vice versa.
