I have posted before just would like to let everybody know how my pain has drifted away however coe back sometime but only for 24 hours.
I am currently sitting on the floor with my laptop on the coffee table without any pain at all. I had pain for 4.5 years. I escaped for the first 3 years by drinking every night that was the only way to deaden the pain. Anyway after visiting this forum a year ago I have made excellent progress.
I have seen a Myotherapist she has helped me.
My pain has been extremely sore perimunum sore testicles (numb feeling) pain between thighs golf ball type of feeling.
This is what helps me
Stand up bend down touch your toes hang on HOLD IT THERE you will find everything will start to really pull and feel kind of crampy this is good try and hold it for as long as you can. I know its the last thing you want to do when you have pain but give it a go
Cheers
I am feeling Heaps better

I find this fascininating. It was this exact action you describe -- the touching the toes and "holding it there" which actually CAUSED my pernieal pain and numbness. I never had it before..and when I tried toe touches for the 1st time, I felt a slightly reduced sexual sensation in my penis over the next week. I didn't realizethey were connect. Two months later, I did another round of toe touches and then my penis lost another 30% of feeling over the next few days. Believe it or not, I didn't make the connection until Early May, when in a THIRD bout of toe touching (stupid, yes) I developed perineal pain and some numbness, as well as genital pain.
Now, based upon you post, I know that the muscles and tissues in the perineal region MUST be stretched/altered when toe touches are performed. Therefore, I am more certain than before that my pain and numbness in the perineal distribution relates to something in my pelvic floor. It seems few get numbness, but I definitely do.

36 Year-old male, former weightlifter, had artifical disk at l5/s1. Recently perineal pain and genital numbness developed after doing toe-touches. Prior surgery was almost a year before this happened. May or may not be related.

This position can be VERY hard on the back. I'm someone who am only now just recovering from a torn back muscle suffered in February doing my daily stretches for CPPS.Stand up bend down touch your toes hang on HOLD IT THERE you will find everything will start to really pull
My PT recommended to try lying on the ground and putting my legs up the wall, and arching my back. This gives you a good stretch in the hamstrings and gluts and lower back, but doesn't put any pressure on those back areas and you can hold it a lot longer.
Also, I don't do the hard back exercises in the morning; only in the evening after I am more limber.
