No I dont think it seems similar to this guys story at all, I read all of it.
I did get fully better after a few months, and have been since, had one flareup that lasted two weeks, and now have my second one 11 days into it.

This guy seems to have had nonstop pain for years..

I dont believe this is my case, I am and have gotten a lot better and havent needed to see doctors for over a year, I thought I was cured.

I have never had increased wbc in my prostate or anything like that.
I have hade perinaial discomfort, yes and urethearal discomfort and pain for sure.
However I am certain it will ease up since I have been diagnosed with a stress condition, have other stress symptoms as well.

I will go away, the only similarity I saw with this poor guy, is that we where put on tons of antibiotics.
I have only had uretheral burning for 7 days so I dont want to jump the gun, and even yesterday it felt eased up and its just back today a bit but its easing up again I think.

This flareup will pass, then I need to relax as much as I can and treat this fully this time to make sure the flareups will be further apart

Thank you, his story was an interesting read but I can't see myself in him at all which I am glad for he seems to go through hell and I feel very sorry for him.

I have been doing somewhat better today, not good but the burning has eased up a bit its more just discomfort now.
Its quite manageble through most of the day it just gets super bad after I urinate.
I only went 3 times all day today.
Took a long walk and tried my best not to think of it.
It gets way worse when I do urinate its a leaky disomforty tickly feeling in the urethera but I am doing better then a few days ago so its a little...well its moving the right way if slowly.

Right afer I urinate I get this annoying discomfort so I can't do anything..then it eases up a bit.

I still have mild penile burning but for a while its been the only discomfort with the leaky feeling..but..I thikn its going to be fine, just give it a little more time, 3 days ago I couldnt picture leaving the house and now, well I like it again..so its goign to pass, instead of being here non stop I have had times where I was somewhat decent again and thats how it starts getting better..
When it gets good enough I wll start working on it with my PT.

I am going to the summerhouse now for a few days.

Hey there, I'm back now thank you.

My burning, the urgency to pee and theburning was completely gone for 3 days almost, starting a few days before I went away.
Then unforunatley it came back a bit yesterday but its a good sign that things are fluctuating for the better.

I didn't urinate more then 3 times aday for the past couple of days, but since it came back I have been feeling the burning urge some and it feels like I go maybe every other or thrid hour.

Its depressing to feel it worsen again when I was doing better but also the fact that it is fluctuating is a sign it will go, the burning did go, and it will its just being very stubborn..

I have the discomfort in my penis and a weakend stream the "cork" feeling I get now and then, but I have no problems starting peeing or anything. Also I have a lsight pain on ejaculation now and then, it was after I did that I believe that the burning got worse but maybe its unrelated it hurt a few hours after. It didn't hurt when I peed an hour after that, it just came a few hours after.
It does, fluctuate I had some times this week where I could totally enjoy myself, had no problem going in the car for 2-3 hours no need to pee when shopping, just the discomfort, which I can manage. Id say it was 50% better:)

Now its worse again though but it will ease up, I am trying to surround myself with people as much as possible.
I am still on my antibiotics and painkillers but I am going to talk to my doc on monday and ditch the cipros.

I was, yesterday when I was shopping with my brother, thinking "Hmm this is well enough to practice." then it got worse.:( but I hope on monday I will be going that it will go back..

Its good signs though isn't it?

It's a good sign that stress, anxiety, and/or tension is a major contributor to your symptoms. If 3 decent days in a row doesn't motivate you to follow some of the advice you've been given in this thread, than I don't know what will. Use it to encourage you to get through this. I know it's depressing when the pain comes back (happens to me every other week), but you can't do anything about it. The best thing you can do is start taking the steps to alleviate it all. If you want to hold back on the PT, fine. At least make sure to keep up your stretches, massages, and relaxation at home. Unfortunately, recovery from this condition is the extreme of the no-pain-no-gain pattern; it is very hard to motivate yourself to do things that will make it hurt worse for a while. But this is the only way. In fact, right now I'm going to listen to my own advice and have a very thorough abdominal massage session with my Theracane; this will cause a serious flare-up tomorrow but I have been having steady, uncomfortable pain now for 4 days so it's time to get back to work and dig in. I see you in the same situation. TRUST ME, it will imrove if you take your therapy seriously and do everything that has been recommended by the other posts. You don't really have a choice. Getting rid of your Cipro is probably a good start to changing your mindset.

Thanks,
Yes I do try, and the past days leading up to the weekend it had improved a bit actually I wasn't having the urinary symptoms as bad at all.
Then just pow again they came back but at least now I know it will fluctuate and then leave like last time.
Its just so damn annoying to have to feel like you have to pee all the time, ánd that part did feel better. I even told my brother, you know what right now it is manegable and it will go away..its bad, but I can take it. Then unfortunatley it got way worse just an hour later but thats how it is..it fluctuates before it gets better..

Hi,
I think ejaculating might worsen my symptoms this time.
It was better until I did so, it does feel better after ejaculating but after a while it gets worse, I get the "cork" feeling when I do pee and a pain in the urethera.
I wonder if thats how it is or in my head thats how it feels right now though.

I was down to peeing only 3 times a day and now after I got it back its back to burning and peeing every 2 hours or more often....

I wouldn't spend much more time analyzing your daily routine. When I first started therapy, I had 15-20 internal trigger points, plus another 5-10 external. They were all contributing to my pain at the same time. There were so many flare ups that analyzing any sort of causal relationship was pointless. After many months of treatment (mostly self treatment), my trigger points have been reduced enough that I can actually pinpoint where the source of my pain is coming from, down to the exact muscle. But in your case, you just need to start doing the work - HARD. It can't make things worse for you at this point. But trying to say that "ejaculation makes it worse" may be useless, since almost ANY strain in the region will make things worse by aggravating one of your likely 20+ trigger points.

Hi,
Yes I guess you are right.
Its just that somewhere deep down I know that this worst part will ease up. Last time it flared up but it wasn't this bad. After 3 weeks it was manageble now I've been fighting this flareup for 3 weeks almost and well its not better. It burns and feels nasty. I can take the perinial pain and pressure I have occasionally, but I can't take the burning discomfort in the penis itself. Sometimes it burns, sometimes it doesnt.

I practiced yesterday, 2 hours at full pace. It didn't feel too badwhen I am actually practicing, just afterwards I feel it creeping back on me.
My PT said practicing was excellent cause it increases the bloodflow in your muscles and helps releive tension.

I dont mind if my bladder burns a little every now and then, I dont mind the perinial pressure or even pain I can take that and live with it, this nasty penis disomfort is what I cannot take it drives me crazy.

I could sleep for 10 hours last night without peeing, I only peed once in the past 18 hours. I just feel a nasty feeling when I do pee.

I just dont know ehere to start, I got diagnosed with what they called a "stress condition" that I need to control my stress.

Last time it wasn't fully as bad but it did ease up. This time though its worse and not manageble at all.
Last time I could watch movies, and go out and do things now I can't.
Its a nonstop discomfort.

I hope it flares down a bit anyway soon so I can get my decent life back anyway when I am fighting this. Right now, I dont even want to get out of bed in the morning, I dont want to wake up or do anything. It had better ease up a bit soon...

I think you might be obsessing over it a little bit. Not to sound rude, but you have to get your mind on other things. Believe me, I have been there and know how depressing it is when you're sitting alone in a sitzbath at midnight crying from the pain. I'm pretty new to this all, but had 3 major flares that the first 2 lasted 6 weeks...this third one is on week 4 and going strong. I have the dysuria/burning and I also had a real nasty discharge going on along with severely discolored semen from the infection.
I got it all clear except the burning right now (I do have weird pains all around the pelvis, but I don't pay them much attention). I do everything in moderation, and try to keep my mind off of the CP (that is, not hang out on the forums much). Reading AHIP 3rd edition was very helpful for my mindset in the beginning and I strongly recommend it, even if you use another therapy/therapies! Right now I just do the stretching and relaxation from it b/c I cannot come close to affording a PT.
Anyway, for what it is worth.

Not medical advice - as much as I wish I had medical advice to cure everyone of this! :-D

I know all about burning upon urination and penis discomfort. At my worst I was also staying in my room and did not want to get out of bed. It is a very dibilitating feeling. The best methods are hot bathes and stretching. I have done over 30 PT sessions and feel pretty good now. I take hot bathes and do Dr. Wise's tapes when I have a flare and the pain does subside. The worst thing to do is lie around and hurt. At least take a hot bath, you will feel better. Also, it is normal to urinate about every two hours. You will feel better, I am testimony to it.

Thanks,
I do not think it sounded rude at all.
Yes I do try my best, I know thinking about it is not very good and I try, but when it PEAKS that is, for me anyway, impossible.

I can take pains, I have an extremely high pain threshold and I can suck it up if my bladder burns or my thighs burn, or I get the perinial pain.
That I can take.

The flare up of the penis discomfort is what I can't take though unfortunatley.
That is what drove me NUTS the otehr flareups too, and when it went away, I started getting better.
I try doing things as much as I can. Going to basketball practice is the best for me, I go full out.

I do not think food is relevant in my conditon for some reason. I have had tons of pop, coffee and alcohol and nothing really seems to upset me. Maybe it causes a burning in the bladder now and then. I can live with that, I find it more debilitating not to be able to haev it, to feel like its beating me.

My bladder is fine this time though,I can drink whatever and I it doesnt worsen it.
Its just like now for isntance, I have been watching tv for maybe 3 hours, had 4 cups of juice and a coke.
I went to pee and peed lots, but with a weaker stream.

Its like the feeling "stays" like there is something in the penis that I want to "pee out".
Thats how it was last time and it did go. It gets better with time.
The first time I got this I thought I was in for the rest of my life.
Now I know it goes away. I also know I probably will get it back. But it goes and that is reasuring.
This morning I was a mess. I couldnt take it and thought I would die.

Now I have tried doing things and well it feels better, some of the stuff eased a bit.
The best doctor I have seen said, it starts to fluctuate then it goes. It doesnt go over night but it fluctuates and then it eases up.

That is certainly true for me it fluctiates by the hours almost.

I do have tremendous troubles with stress. My wife knows it, my brother goes crazy sometimes from just being around me, he says I am worse then my dad (who has his own business and had a heartattack a few years back). I have all kinds of stress problems, mostly muscle tension.
I had TJD (or is it TDJ?) where the joint in your jaw clenches up and you get terrible headaches. I beat that in a few months but its back now and then.

I have a muscle spasm in my throat, havent had it for a year but now with this, that is back on and off too.

I am certain this is stress. I have started doing streches as adviced my wife watches me like a hawk so I can't skip out of it.

It will go its just that when you do have it, its the most hideous thing in the world.
I have come along ways, mentally. When I got this I was living in Canada, and I hadeverything set up for me and then it came and threw everything around I actually got so bad that I tried killing myself numerous times and ended up in the hospital.
I can talk about it now, cause I have grown stronger from it.

It will ease up its just a matter of time..

I have one question, one doctor told me he had seen a connection with this and body size, can that be right? He CLAMIED its more common in larger individuals. I didn't get a good feel for this doc, he seemes like he was way off his rocker.
I am pretty big I am 6'6 and weigh 225 lbs, but there is not an ounce of fat on me. He claimed its more common if you are larger then normal, I thought it was just bogus.

I have heard that before, when my back acted up, its cause I was too tall, when my foot screwed up it was cause I was tall, so I felt like this was just..well BS, but I dont know. What do you guys know about it?
