Burning urethra & feet?

Post by GARYS »

Does anyone have any idea what could cause urethral burning and the souls of my feet burn at the same time. How could 2 things so far away burn at the same time (they both happen at the same time) What muscle or nerve could connect the two?
Age:33 | Onset Age: 20 | Symptoms: burning urethra after urinating, followed by rush to urinate again, rectal pain after a bowel movement sometimes, frequency. | Helped By: Pyridium and Ativan | Worsened By: stress, sitting and unknown reasons.

Do you have diabetes? Other signs of peripheral neuropathy?

Thanks for the link!! But I have been tested for diabetes and they checked my thyroid. I dont have a problem with either. The burning in my feet seems to only happen when I have the urethral burning. I never have burning in my feet by itself, but about half the time I get the urethral burning I get the burning in my feet.

Then I'd suggest it's a result of neural cross-talk. Nerves are strange things: when one nerve gets irritated, it can fire off symptoms at the end of other nerves. More here:

cross talk

Post by inflamed »

Mark if possible could you explain the cross talk in basic terms the scientific paper may as well be in double dutch for my non scientific brain.

I have just noticed occasionly after internal trigger point release that I get a sharp pain that comes and goes just below the bone that sticks out on my left ankle/foot.

Also I was getting slits at both sides of my lips, which after some research have found that this can be due to defficency in one of the B vitamins, which can also help nerves.

B-2 Vitamin deficiency: http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec12/ch154/ch154g.html

Basically, "cross talk" refers to the fact that many nerves are not well insulated and come into close physical proximity at various stages during their courses back to the spinal cord, allowing a strong electrical nerve impulse in one nerve to actually instigate impulses in other nerves, even though they are not affected by the irritating stimulus. This results in sensations/symptoms at the end of the unaffected, "innocent" nerve fiber (eg. in your foot).

Fix that Vit B deficiency though! It may be the cause.
