Phimosis (tight foreskin) & balanitis (inflamed tip)

Post by kevin »

Any purported connection between these two conditions and pelvic pain? I read that because of hygiene, phimosis puts one at a higher risk of urinary tract infections. Perhaps this could trigger CPPS? (speculating)

I've had phimosis and balanitis for as long as I can remember.
Started: Spring 2003; high urinary frequency and pain associated with bladder filling; urinary hesitancy; pubic/prostate/perineal discomfort; Helped by: trigger point therapy, Afrin nasal spray, Cymbalta, hydrocodone (small doses), distraction. Makes worse: sex.

I don't know about the tight foreskin, but a LOT of posters have mentioned redness at the tip of their penis. I've seen this symptom mentioned a few times just in the last two weeks alone. Do some searching for "redness" and I bet you some up with a lot of hits.
