A month ago I was having relations with my wife and I noticed a strange feeling of sharp pain in the lower regions. I passed it off. The next day we tried again and the samething happened. Sharp pains durring foreplay and then pains after ejaculation. I went and saw my family doc and he did the old finger test and concluded prostate infection. That was 5 weeks ago. I did 4 weeks of Levaquin and then he has switched me to Cipero for this last week. Unfortunatly, I still have the same problem.
This is my only problem. No frequent urination, no blood in seman, nothing just pain with sex. Now, I have had one or two painless interactions with my wife and thought great its done.......but sure enough the next time the pain was back.
Iam 31 years old and have now started to change my lifestyle and get healthy I am currantly overweight and am thinking that this is not helping me. I have gone through this forum and have not read to much about the same symtoms as I am having. I go on the net and freak myself out thinking about cancer. My doc never bothered with PSA tests or anything just urine and DRE. I think I may have him just to ease my mind. I gave him my concerns in the last visit and he told me not to worry and that it was an infection and these kind take a long time to clear up.
If anyone has the same symtoms Id like to hear from you it would sure ease my mind a little.
Thanks for your time all.

Sharp pains
Whereabouts specifically do you get these sharp pains? Are they in the urethra?
It's very difficult to say what might be causing them without more information but it could just be muscles spasm which presses on the nerves in that area thus causing sharp pain. Does the pain linger or does it ease off quickly?

I forgot to mention this. But 6 months ago I had Vasectomy that got pretty infected. My right testicle swelled up like a nerf football. I wonder if this has anything to do with it? My Doc says no, but I'm not convinced. There is still a lump on the vas deferen where he cut and it aches quite often aswell. I think it swells up too.
Well.....I'm off to another day of wondering what the heck is going on down there. This sucks.

Sounds muscular to me : https://ucpps.men/chronic-prostatitis-is-a-psychoneuromuscular-condition.savage007 wrote:I am pretty sure the pain is coming from my prostate. I can feel it in the front part of my lower abdomin. I tried relaxation. Lastnight I did some pelvic Yoga and this morning had a long hot bath. Then I had sex.....I followed some advise from other places here...ie. "just relax while ejaculating" and it worked. I hope I am on to something. I had no pain this morning!
I beleive the last time I had pain free ejaculation was after a hot bath as well. I guess the hot water probably relaxes the pelvic muscles. This morning I can head off to work being a little less stressed.

Savage you are not alone. I have been experiencing excrutiating pain during ejaculation. This problem started about 4 months ago along with many of the other classic prostatitis symptoms (urinary frequency and urgency, and general pelvic pain). Although the majority of my other symptoms have vanished, the pain during intercourse is as bad as ever.
In my case, I am sure it is a muscular tension problem. I can feel all of the muscles around the penis and in my rectum tensing just at the point of ejaculation. Additionally, I fell muscle pain for up to 1 week after the event. So at this point, I am completely avoiding sex altogether.
I am 35 years old, and have a loving caring wife. Hopefully, with time my body will heal.

Maybe it was infection. I have no pain anymore. It slowly went from stabbing pain to light stabbing pain. Now I have no pain. I had sex twice in a row the other night with no pain.
I totally freeaked myself out. I automatically thought the worst and gave myself some uneeded stress. I hope all of you here find releif! This forum is GREAT!!
