Given his history of severe substance abuse, I think my hypothesis is a reasonable one.

I am Republican and will have to agree with Mastcells. Something is not right. I saw a debate with him from '94 with Ann Richardson then gov of Texas and he was a LOT quicker then he is now. It was like a different person.

I talk to people that are die hard Republicans that would argue until death that whoever the Republican is at the time, is a God and could do no wrong and they will vote Republican for ever. I am sure that the same goes for die hard Dems to.

Those people scare me a lot.

Are there that many people in the US that can not judge things for themselves and just blindly follow their party?

If Hitler was running for office this year(either party) and knowing his past I bet he would still get millions of votes from the die hards of his party.

You have probably guessed by now who I am going to vote for this year.

That's an interesting observation. But how much of it is simply due to the fact that for the past 4 years Bush has shut out any real dissenting opinion from his world? He admits he never reads papers, avoids press conferences like the plague, attends only stage-managed choreographed events & only gets advice that's in line with his existing views. The result? An inability to function in a more politically competitive environment, as the debates amply showed.

I'm no expert on mental health, but I think Bush's handling of the debates is more a reflection of his being unable to do what's required in a democracy - listen to opposing views.

You're right in your choice & you would not be betraying your principles one bit! :-D

This is sorta an OFF TOPIC, OFF TOPIC. I saw that Mastcells sig. contains the phrase " Mr. Bush, there is blood on your hands! ".

A lady I know's son was the first death after GW said major combat was over. Strange thing, is she was a hardcore DEM before and now she is a Bush supporter because of her sons death.

She met with GW at the white house. Apprently he meets with all of the familys in small groups.(probably large groups latley) This lady tells it like it is and had him crying in 2 minutes.

I wonder if he is on hardcore meds to deal with everything thats going on? That would explain a few things.

Another side note, my cousin is a medic in Iraq. He had a firefight the other day and several insurgents were wounded. He went in to help the wounded insurgents and the bad guys own people started shooting at him.

Something tells me we are not wanted there.

Mastcells, I watched the videos in your last post. It is a shame that GW says he does not watch TV or look at any media stuff.

That one man talks about his brother being killed and not having enough body armor. And that the mission accomplished sign must have cost a fortune. GW said that the navy did it without his knowlege.

Someone called into Bill O'Reilly today and asked if the public pays for all of this travel in airforce 1 and 2. He thought they did but was not sure.

Does anyone here know if the public pays for all of GW's(and Dick) travel or does it get reimbursed from private campain contributions?
