It started with my ass hurting, but after waiting for, then getting a colonoscopy and all of the Cipro/Leviquin as well as worrying about the out come of procedures my stomach and throat is a burning volcano.
My doc has given me PPI's and Xanax to calm my stomach.
Has anyone had stomach problems due to secondary stress from Prostatitis?
Reflux/Heartburn/GERD as a secondary illness from stress?

At the worst of my pelvic pain days I also had severe heartburn from all the stress and the pain in the esophagus and the pelvis combined was just horrific.
The good news is that you will find that the better you manage your stress the better the symptoms will become. The acid reflux that plagued me for months has not been a problem at all for the last 6 months or so. I also consider my pelvic condition to be about 85% better. It really is scary though what can happen to the human body under severe stress as I experienced pain almost everywhere in the body when things got real bad. Quiting down the autonomic nervous system through meditation and\or paradoxical relaxation is really the key fix to all this stuff--this has been my own personal experience. As you become more relaxed over time (which really just means quiting down the autonomic nervous system on a more regular and consistent basis) you should find your symptoms getting better. And just so you know I am a big proponent of and currently practicing the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol.
You might also want to take an herbal licorice root extract product called DGL--I would recomend the product from Enzymatic Therapy. I found this product helpful, as it is a lozenge that actually helps out with heartburn and digestive problems by providing a protective coating on the esophagus and stomach.
Best of luck to you.
