President Kerry wants stem cell research. He's leaving religion in the churches and out of the Oval Office. More research means more help for chronic diseases.

OFF TOPIC: The Presidential Debates
I thought Kerry won hands down. And this was supposed to be Dumbya's strong topic.
President Kerry wants stem cell research. He's leaving religion in the churches and out of the Oval Office. More research means more help for chronic diseases.

Well, you should perform your civic duty (KERRY), hold your nose (KERRY), and vote for the guy (KERRY) you dislike the least (KERRY!!!)theman wrote:I am still undecided though and don't like either of them. What do you do?

Kerry was still waffling around...Saadam was a threat then he wasn't...and that global test crap????
I've researched it and am yet to find any proof that the democrats provide more money for research to help us...and they would have to get the Stem Cell stuff through the Republican Congress anyway...and that is saying it would help in the near future anyway...
Just vote...that is what matters....

Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm *so* embarrassed that Bush represents my country to the world. He can barely speak. I truly believe he suffers from brain damage.theman wrote:Did you notice GW's long pauses. Looked like his mental clutch was slipping. hehe
If you are one of the top 1% richest people in the US, vote for Bush. Otherwise, vote for Kerry. I don't like either candidate, but out of the two, Kerry is clearly better.I am still undecided though and don't like either of them. What do you do?

Sorry you are embarrased by your president, comments like he is brain damaged is what is wrong with the political debate in this country, it is mean spirited and not of value.
I am not one of the top 1% of the richest people in the country, in fact I served this country for 26 years...I am a retired Senior Noncommissioned Officer in the USAF, who suffers from the same disease as the rest of you and come to this forum for help. I served in both Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom before I retired last year and I believe that although not perfect, Goerge tries to do what is best for this country. Kerry may make a good president, but let's see how it all turns out.
If Kerry wins then so be it....but lets' not make this a hate bush debate or forum....let's help each other get better....

I am an Alzheimer's disease researcher, and after watching hours of Bush talking on TV, it is my honest opinion that he suffers from some form of brain damage.treynor33 wrote:Sorry you are embarrased by your president, comments like he is brain damaged
Your service to our country is commendable, sir. However, I think you are too trusting in our government. Bush and Cheney do what is best for the corporations (Hallburtin, etc.) who are profiting off of the war with Iraq, not what is best for our country.I believe that although not perfect, Goerge tries to do what is best for this country.

It's interesting to me how many people who abuse drugs and alcohol end up with signs of brain damage. Ozzie Osborne, anyone? Brian Wilson?
Bush does show signs of minimal brain damage, compared to his siblings. I've heard his brothers talk and they don't have his deficits.

Sorry I don't agree with you all on everything...I am undecided on who to vote for....but I really don't think that saying the president of the US (Republican or Democrat) is brain damaged is of value to this problem we all have, there are other sites for that stuff or very respectful.
I regret even adding to this thread, I should not have dissented I guess....I just thought the thread was for open honest debate, not a political Bush thrashing, seems as though it was set up for a bush supporter or something so you all could thrash him more.
....everybody vote for who you wish...and I respect your opinon. Vote for who you wish to, that is what this country is all about, sometimes we forget that. I thank you all for the help that I have received and the advice, it has helped me greatly.
GOD BLESS the USA

I don't know what came over Bush that night, but he certainly did not look presidential.MastCells wrote:

Mast cells is correct. I don't like Kerry either, but at least he seems to have a plan for a new dirrection, while Bush is letting the country go a-drift.MastCells wrote: If you are one of the top 1% richest people in the US, vote for Bush. Also, our health care system is in dire straits and we need someone who will at least acknowledge the problem, regardless of that person's political party.

I respect your opinion greatly. I should add that even though I believe Kerry will probably be a little bit better for medical care in general, no help for men like us is going to come from Washington until we *ALL* start to organize. AIDS and breast cancer research is the result of strong activism. It's time that we start pushing for the same. I'm so sick and tired of men with prostate problems being made the butt of many jokes.treynor33 wrote:Sorry I don't agree with you all on everything...I am undecided on who to vote for....but I really don't think that saying the president of the US (Republican or Democrat) is brain damaged is of value to this problem we all have, there are other sites for that stuff or very respectful.

PNE discussion can lead people to undertake expensive and usually futile major surgery. Last time I looked, political debate does not.bti20 wrote:I find it a bit strange that we're allowed to talk about Bush and Kerry but not PNE.....

I don't want to add fuel to the fire on this discussion but, I have never ever noticed an improvement in my life based on either political party.
It seems like one side is for the mega rich and the other side is for the mega poor. Most of the population does not fall into either of these groups. Those groups combined are still the minority compared to all of the middle class(average) people.
If a candidate was smart he would do something that would effect the masses not just one extreme or the other.
Its going to be like a coin toss in the polling booth.

A single payer health system, as in Canada, Australia and the rest of the civilized first world, would be a vast improvement to the USA. I've lived under both systems, so I speak from experience. Politics do affect your life, it's just that you have become conditioned to passivity.
