Sexual disorders ACCOMPANYING CPPS
HI, Thanks for Mark as he agreed to have a long thread for us chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferers who are also having sexual problems. Most commonly it is ED.
Sadly I am one of them . I am frustrated, angry, and became depressed after the symptoms lasted for quiet few months, and realizing that this wasn't just a temporary thing. So I was thinking that people like me can share their experience here, and keep us posted. Tell us what worked what didn t for you. And please people who used overcame ED in some way, or just with time, we are really looking to hear from you.
After reading many threads on this forum, I have a feeling that while the hope for overcoming pain is increasing, and that the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol seem to be helping many people, the ED side effect of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome is still difficult to beat.
So here is my Story guys and hoping to hear yours and your comments maybe.
I started with frequency for about 2 years, before getting the pain early this year. I didn't took many medications except levquin for one week. Then I realised with my GP through the many tests that I have a Non-bacterial problem. also tok a lot of Saw Palmetto. I don t remeber the reason in the beginning , but It seems that I had some weird effects from Saw Palmetto. I wrote about them in another thread. mainly my libido dropped. Well I am not sure how much SP contributed, now I am back to take it again, at least from my hair. it seems to help. And also when I stopped it the ED didn't go away. And everyone keep telling me SP cannot do this to you.
So yeah I am here, and waitting to try to have some hope. I am trying to get some Viagra prescriptions. I realy hope it works. Some people suggesetd supplements like "one-day" and I am gonna try this too. But after all, I really wish to be CURED from ED, and hope that I won t have to DEAL with it for a long time.
I was suspecting it is a hormone thing, on monday I will ask my doctor to check this out. I am starting to have new hairs under my EYES and some places above my beard ! which I never had before. And the Hair loss is worse than ever.
THe intriguing thing is that when pain goes the ED do not. it is Always here. When I wake up in the morning I havea weak erection, not enough for sex. I am going to have a talk with Dr Wise soon, cause my doctor said we can maybe arrange a way to be reiumbursed if I go to Stanford.

Just a note: ED is very common in men without chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome too. I'm not sure there is necessarily a strong connection between the two conditions. Drop in libido, now that does occur frequently!
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

I guess we are making the connection betwwen the both, because ED happened suddenly after the pain, and in very young age. I was reading some websites and they say that ED can be caused by some pelvic trauma. This is what they generally call ,I guess, nerve impulse abnormality induced ED. I am really trying to find other reasons but I can't find any. I am assumong that the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome caused some damage to the nerves and I am hoping ( REALLY HOPING) to find out that this is reversible.
However you'r absolutely right we can't be sure of anything yet. I noticed that the people who complained about ED on this forum, they seem to have a milder pain and some of them say the show some signs of recovery from the pain. And if pain byitself were to cause ED, why people like me who have maybe a milder pain and frequency instead of other who had really crazy pain for long years. mabe there are many different kind of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and one of them is associated for some reason with ED. But it is still CPPS, cause just like you guys, relaxation and stretching seem to help with the pain. I wish I knew more. Thanks Mark.

I for one, as the pelvic floor pain symptoms beginning to wane, my ED, or specifically, the weak erection on the morning, became more frequent. It is not just weak, but rather painful, and sometimes I have "erection" involuntarily, as if the flood gate opens unable to hold the blood from rushing into the veins, yet not enough to cause an erection, thus a painful result.
Age:37 | Onset Age: 34 | Symptoms: Pain on Right Leg, Fireball, Urethral and Testicular Pain, Urgency, Bladder lost control, Lower and Upper abdominal Pain, Perineum Pain, Nausea, ED, Pain during arousal, Ejaculation Pain, Lower Back Pain , Fatigue, Short term memory loss, anxiety, bowel pseudo-obstruction/IBS, bloating, unable to pass gas, intestinal burning sensations. | Helped By: Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol, Elavil, Valium, Stretching, Skin Rolls, Donut Cushion, External Trigger point | Worsened By: Sit for more than an hour, Caffiene, Sex, Bowel movement, Symptoms come without warning.

Since some of you guys are having ED and since it is quite common for chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferers to take alpha blockers I have a question please :
IS IT OK TO USE Viagra, cialis or others ED pills when taking :
1- Saw Palmetto
what about
2- Proscrar
what about
3- Proscrar in lower dose, like procerin.
Hope to hear from somoene on this

The combination shouldn't be a problem, but you should ask your doctor these questions too.
Proscar may make your ED worse.what about
2- Proscrar
Also, read Viagra's prescribing information:

Thanks for the Link. I found this :
and I will tell you guys if Viagra will work for me. (I am crossing fingers)
thx
But anyway whenevr I decide to go one proscrar I will inform my doctor.Simultaneous administration of VIAGRA to patients taking alpha-blocker
therapy may lead to symptomatic hypotension in some patients. Therefore, VIAGRA doses above
25 mg should not be taken within 4 hours of taking an alpha-blocker.

what do doctors think ?
Everytime I go to those GPs that my workplace provide for free ( and I cannot always afford to go to doctors ourside) they act in a weird way as soon as they realize that I know more than them about this particular subject. and by the way I am going to men's health specialists.
I think I should offer them the book (HITP) or Dr Wise or somoene should contact all these and tell them read this cause this is the NEW theory and since there is no other viable theories ( maybe ) you should know about it.
Anyway goig back to my point, I am going to this doctor and I told him about My ED. well I am not surpried that they blamed my "head" as they blamed it too for the pain.
I was praying for the guy telling him please I'v been Two weeks with this girl and I am avoiding sex, can you prescribe Viagra !! I can' continue anymore like that. Moreover I like this girl. she's asking for coming and sleeping over, and how would I love that.
I mean I am 25 how 25 mg or 50 mg of Viagra would ever be harmful. he went on telling me things like : if your relationship cannot wait few months before sex , then it is not meant to be
. I felt I was suddenly in year 1666.
I was so disparied that I was about to buy Viagra from people on the street that I know they sell it. then I became my sane side told me to not do it
don't you think guys I have the right to try Viagra or Cialis, as it seems to help most of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferes who have ED !
well sorry guys, that was just another brick on my wall.

Let me be blunt. Your doctor is an asshole.
I think it's important that you go to a doctor who is willing to treat your ED. You are obviously suffering a great deal psychologically, and treatment of this condition is warranted.I felt I was suddenly in year 1666. I was so disparied that I was about to buy Viagra from people on the street that I know they sell it. then I became my sane side told me to not do it![]()

Thanks "Mastcells" for your understanding. sometimes when things go wrong it's good to hear at least from people who understand how you feel.
yeah I took an appointement with a urologist but it s going to be in 2 weeks. otherwise I orderer Cialis Online and I hope the phisicians will grant me a prescription (online).
I guess my story with this girl is over because of this GP. She thinks I am an asshole. thanks to my GP.

OH MY GOD !
My God how can life be so cruel !
I don't know what to do. I felt like telling you guys. I don t know if anyone have something to say.
As I said I had ED that accompanied my CPPS. however my ED do not wax and wane, it's omnipresent.
I was optimistic that Cialis will work for me as it did for most of those sufferers here. IT DID NOT WORK WELL . Actually there is a BIG PROBLEM SOMWHERE. WHile my penis shaft gets quite hard (cialis) ( enough for penetration) my glans remain soft. and thus it doesn t feel good and maybe it hurts a bit cause it's too soft to have sex with .
what the **** is that ? can you please tell me if anyone had similar things. on one of the forums I saw few people with the same problem, they said it's something about leakages in the veins ?
and if it is .. how does this come from chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome , and most importantly does anyone have any idea if this is reparable ?
i would like to hear from anyone anything at that point in time

Are you still using Saw Palmetto? If so, what dosage are you taking and what is the highest dose you ever took? Bear in mind that S. repens (Saw Palmetto) causes erectile dysfunction in about 1.1% of people who use it.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
