ProstateMate prostate massager

Post by mamabuna »

webslave, do you know anything about the device sold by prostatemate.com?

They advertise a "sonic wand" , they call it "3-D Sonic Massager" and is specifically design to work for those with prostate problems.
Age: 35 | Onset Age: 3 month| Symptoms: pain in my penis & testicles comes and goes, pain that is in between my anus and testicles -is there all time, the golf ball sensation in my bottom, frequent urination, incomplete voiding | Helped By: Cipro | Worsened By: don't know yet| Other comments: currently on Cipro and works I have no pain or discomfort, I was on sulfamethoxazole for 2 weeks but once I stopped it came back in about 2 weeks. Currently working with chiropractor - he discovered asymmetry in my pelvis , my left foot was 1 inch longer then my right foot

Re: Is anyone having success with Quercetin or Quercetin ?

  1. No studies backing it ("statistically proven" means nothing)
  2. Unworkable shape, non-medical inventor/manufacturer
  3. Looks like another attempt to profit from the work of the Wise-Anderson studies and the work of others.
  4. Makes outlandish claims about increasing hormone levels (quackery).
  5. Makes absurd and illegal claims about preventing colon cancer!
  6. Does not mention CPPS, only "chronic prostatitis", & mentions BPH, a totally different condition.
  7. Talks positively about Kegels, which are a no-no for this patient group
Looks like total junk to me.

A web search shows that there is a "Vyacheslav (Slava) Skrypnyk, Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering", who is the CEO and only employee of the so-called "Advanced Canadian Engineering Group".

Stay away! I smell a scam.

I assume it's a scam. Look at the equipment- it's originally used for a toothbrush!
Age: 30 | Onset Age: 19| Symptoms: Urinary frequency, Urinary urgency, constant 24/7 sensation in the penis (in the tip mainly - burning/pressure/discomfort/"wetness"), Nocturia, discomfort and pressure in the pelvic region radiating to the abdomen and becoming severe as time passes since last urination (resolved in 2014 by myofascial release), Stream velocity is somewhat slow and prolonged with an average velocity of ~13cc/min (and max 18cc/min) found in flowmetry test when bladder is filled with 500cc at age 25 (I always feel like I need to press my abdomen to urinate, improved later on when using alpha blockers)| Helped By: especially MYOFASCIAL RELEASE (especially in the areas of hips and abdomen) - generally resolved my abdominal aches, but penile symptoms remained the same| Worsened By: Coffee and possibly some other food as well| Other comments: Quercetin and acupuncture helped me no more than a placebo effect. Age 25-26: Diagnosed with indirect inguinal hernia and medium hydrocele at the same side. After operation many of the acute symptoms disappeared, but the chronic urinary and pelvic symptoms remained much the same.
