An observational study of the use of beclomethasone dipropionate suppositories in the treatment of lower urinary tract inflammation in men

Beclomethasone dipropionate proved to be a safe and tolerable drug for treating lower urinary tract inflammations as no adverse events or adverse reactions were reported during the course of the study. All the main parameters (voiding frequency, uroflowmetry, urine stream, perineal pain) improved, except for an increase in International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS).

Note that the IPSS scores increased, so effect not durable. Also, no control group, so hard to say whether there was any difference vs placebo.

Despite their protestations of "no side effects", steroids do have side effects, serious ones. Not a recommended form of treatment.
