I spent a lot of time playing video games before I got this condition. I know it could have been a contributing factor. I also know I miss it.
I’ve hardly played any in over a year now. Lately I’ve been playing for 45 mins to an hour a day. I understand that tense sitting can be an issue.
I wondered if there is a general ‘rule of thumb’ like the 2x per week ejaculation rule of thumb as to how long it might be ‘safer’ to play? Also, would lying down on a bed, head propped up a little with pillows be any less ‘tense’ on the body while playing? Any help greatly appreciated.
Can you keep this in the general section if it’s ok Webslave? I’m hoping more people will see it that way.

If you can learn to play without tensing your pelvis, there is no time limit. But I suspect that's almost impossible. It's better to stop playing for a few months at least to give your pelvis a chance to recover.

I probably shouldn’t have bought a PS5 a few weeks ago then, lol.
It’s one of my main hobbies. I enjoy it so much. Devastating that this condition has robbed me of so many important things to me. Seems like a trivial thing to some, but it was a joy to me.

Why not just buy a standing desk for your gaming set up?

Does that reduce the tension then? I was thinking the ‘tense sitting’ would be similar when standing due to the tension caused by playing the game itself. As in the body is tense due to reactions to what is happening on screen? You don’t find that to be the case then I guess?

To me gaming is extremely relaxing, I don't play competitive multiplayer games. I play role playing games. I am currently playing the Witcher 3's expansion blood and wine, and enjoying the scenic countryside of Toussaint.
For me the standing desk has helped immensely, I have one at work too. Playing a relaxing game + The standing desk is actually beneficial for my CPPS because it reduces stress.
Maybe stop playing super stressful games.
