Hey people :) I haven't been writing in a while, because sometimes I feel reading too much is not so good.

Anyways I feel is should find "my perfect cushion", cause I have also noticed almost all my stress comes just from my symptoms and the less symptoms I have the less stress I have and so on probably less stress can help me.

I saw the cushions webslave recommend and I just order a gseat ultra and this tush cush:

My only question is: I saw this cushion is much more cheaper than the original tush cush car. So my question is what's the difference between this cushion and the original tush cush car? How should a perfect tush cush cushion be, some specific features?

And I read webslave recommended buying some foam and cutting a hole in it. Do you think I can get the same effect as with an original tush cush car cushion? I have noticed foam help me a lot for sitting for longer periods, but it kind of gives some pain to my back if I sit in foam, maybe it is too soft? I don't know, I am planning next week to buy some foam in a store and "play a bit" with the thickness of the foam I could sit on, or making holes in the foam, etc. Any tips of how should I do my sitting cushion with the foam I will buy??

My current opinion on this topic is that I recommend that you visit a foam rubber store and buy a block of the best quality high density foam (measurements are 420mm x 360mm x 50mm). Then use an electric kitchen knife to cut out a U-shaped section (100mm wide and 150mm deep) at the back (in the 420mm wide side), like the Tush Cush. This is the most cost-effective option. I'm sitting on one I made now, can't live without it or I get spinal pain. You can save up to 80% like this, and renew it cheaply every few years when it goes flat.

I have another question. There are many different density of foam. I bought the one with 30kg/m3 and 5 cm high but it gives me back pain, probably because it is too soft... do you know by the way which density of foam do you use? I bought now more different densities to try them about (50kg/m3 and 100kg/m3). Would be a great help :)

Those must be EVA foams, the 50/100kg/m3 foams, and those are too hard. I'm talking about normal polyurethane foam, and premium commercial high density polyurethane foam is has a density of about 38kg/m³ and a hardness of about 200±30.

I had tried different type of coccyx cushions and even bought a block of foam but with not much help. In long drives, I have found the "Gelco GSeat Ultra Pressure Cushion" a bit of relief but its quite expensive. In terms of seats you can never go wrong by soft Sofas, I have noticed significant relief from these.

I'm my previous job I was blessed with a magical chair which basically reduced the seating pain by 80%. It's called Senator Sprint, quite expensive but you can get a second hand cheaply. I tried different chairs of same model but didn't get much relief compared to one I was using, don't know if this was just a psychological issue. The great thing about this chair was that back support could have been reclined a lot which takes off pressure from perineum and lower back, most of time I just sat in reclined position. Another important factor is how much pressure you have to make to the back support in order to stay reclined, I think the lowest amount of pressure is the best.

I don't have access to my chair anymore so desperate now to find the same ideal conditions with other chairs

I have to say it's the best cushion I have tried. Not too thick, so it works well in a car seat and the cut-out, which is really the most important part, does provide relief from pressure on the perineum. I am going to purchase another one.
