Treatments that helped me the most

I have tried lots of treatments and activities to get rid of my Pelvic Pain. My CPPS symptoms are currently minimal and my biggest problems now is actually pain in other parts of the body (shoulders, right foot).
This have helped me the most in the battle against CPPS:
- Trigger Point Therapy
- Connective Tissue Manipulation AKA skin rolling
- Mindfulness
- Autogenic relaxation
- Relaxation of the pelvic floor (Sniff, Flop and Drop exercise)
- Changes to my posture and gait
- Diaphragmatic breathing
- Buteyko breathing exercises
Tensing and anxiety have never been a problem for me. My main problems seems to be stress at work, poor sleep, pelvic pain posture (anterior pelvic tilt), stiff back and a breathing pattern disorder (resulting in a low level of oxygenation in my muscles).

Hi Figge,
I'm currently doing 1, 2 of your list and trying to learn to relax the PFM. Whats the sniff flop drop??
Did you gradually get better month by month with flares or did you have some breakthroughs?
I'm nearly 3 years in and have been doing my protocol daily for the last six months.
Frequency was the first thing to improve, can now sleep all night with only little discomfort in the morning.
Flares are now mainly a burning sensation and some tip of the penis pain / sensation especially after urinating.
I've got some sensitive TP near the prostate and high up on the anterior wall that I'm currently working on.
Skin rolling was a big step - can't believe how my abs went from being bruised when I first started to now fully free and supple over 3 months of daily work.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks :)

I'm curious, is the pain in other parts of your body cutaneous, deep, or both?

I have experienced all kinds of pain; deep, superficial, intense, aching, stabbing, burning, you name it. For every pain I have always found a trigger point or two that reproduced the pain.
The worst trigger points to work with is the ones on the soles of the feet. The most painful ones have been in the Interossi muscles (foot), Infraspinatus (shoulder), Vastus lateralis (thigh) and Puborectalis (pelvis).
The worst symptoms was caused by trigger points in sternocleidomastoids; head and neck pain, double vision, tearing of the eyes, reddening of the eyes, sore throat, increased mucus production and stiff neck (not all symptoms at once luckily).
The biggest challenge was to treat my right shoulder after two years of pain, I found 40 trigger points in 20 different muscles all associated with the right shoulder.

Instruction for Sniff, Flop and Drop can be found at
http://www.pelvicphysiotherapy.com/Ex7_ ... _Drop.html
It is an exercise for relaxing the pelvic floor muscles.
I have become gradually better and better with some smaller breakthroughs along the way. I have had two major flares and both have been triggered by the appearance of a perianal hematoma caused by constipation.
I have not suffered from any urinary symptoms like increased frequency.
