Can drinking alcohol actually help reduce chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms? Most of the time when I drink, I feel better after I start feeling a buzz. I'm not entirely sure if it is doing anything bad to me by consuming any amount of it in the long term, but the immediate effects seem to be beneficial. Almost all other illnesses I have read about that can cause abdominal pain however, are almost always said to be aggravated by alcohol.

From my past experience, no amount of liquids ever got rid of the pain entirely. The thing is what I would start by examining what your are eating and drinking. It can be trial and error, but going to subway really does help. My Advice is to not drink alcohol and drink Vitamin Water.

Red wine seems to slightly help my symptoms, but obviously not in the way of curing.

Every other kind of alcohol seems to be neutral to negative.
