I was wondering if anyone has seen some symptom relief with rolfing treatments.

Hi there,

To be honest, I had never heard of this therapy until your question. For those who may be curious, this link has some information.

I have not personally read reports from anyone who has used this technique to treat CPPS. It seems to have some noteworthy benefits, such as acknowledging muscle-related pain, as well as the fact that stress is a trigger. The adjustments sound a little more on the chiropractic side. I don't know if this would be direct enough to treat CPPS'ers, as many have chronic spasm and shortened muscles, both of which require internal treatment.

Thanks for the reply Jay.

The reason I brought this up is because I truly think that poor posture can lead to muscle tension in the pelvic region in some. I have a surgery-recommended level of scoliosis and have a job that requires me to stand for long hours. I believe that my poor posture, which before my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome initially just gave me slight pain in my buttocks and lower back, has caused more pain to spread to other areas and muscles in my pelvic region. Most men don't have scoliosis with jobs that require lengthy periods of standing, so it's hard to say if there is a correlation, but I truly believe that my poor posture has lead to my CPPS. I'll give rolfing a try and tell you all what happens.
