From my research here, quercetin seems to be the last of the widely used and recommended supplements that I have yet try for myself. Anyone I ask about it locally simply looks at me like I'm from another planet.
I guess importation is the next step - I don't see why but just in case, has anyone outside the US ever had any trouble importing such supplements into your country? Sometimes customs can get a bit overzealous.
Also - which brand should I try? This will probably be quite expensive so if I'm going to try it, I'd like some advice on what to get. Really not looking for too many other ingredients, I understand that bromelain is popular in conjunction with quercetin which is okay, but anything that includes saw palmetto would not suit me.

Quercetin - preferred brands, and importation
Age: 25 | Onset Age: 22 | Symptoms: Started out as frequency, and a feeling of retention after voiding. Painful urination/ejaculation, spasm-like urgency problems, some urine leakage and lesser pains in abdomen and groin followed about a year later. Settled down over time but still perservering with very annoying urethral discomfort (esp. after voiding) and occasional aches, pains, and so-called "urethral discharge". | Helped By: physiotherapy for abdominal and groin pains, have tried all sorts of natural remedies, anti-inflammatory pills etc - some of them could've helped the other symptoms. | Worsened By: holding urine for too long, sitting for excessive periods. Anxiety.
Re: Quercetin - preferred brands, and importation
You shouldn't haven't any problems importing Quercetin. I've done it many times here in Sydney. I usually go through iherb.com if you want best value for money, and it's not actually that expensive. Wait til they have a deal going however where delivery to Aus is $4 if you keep you order under $80 or something like that.
If you don't want to go through the trouble of importing, some naturopaths sell it, however at 3-4 times the price that I've seen it online. You would probably also find it at those discount vitamin stores, however I would lean towards importing from the U. S for quality and value.

Age:24 | Onset Age:22 | Symptoms: Urgency and penile tip pain. Frequency at it worst. Reduced libido and functioning. | Helped By: Prostate massage. That's about it so far. Haven't thoroughly tried PT yet however. | Worsened By: Sitting. Perhaps stress and negative thoughts. Chiro, candida detox and standard treatments have not helped.
