I have a definite sensitivity to citrus, spicy foods, caffeine and alcohol. Have had it now for three months. I am curious to know if anyone else has this? Does it diminish over time?
Will I ever be able to drink beer again? I can't seem to handle acidic foods at all.

Worth trying prelief.
I found that over time I managed to come off prelief and my sensitivity to certain foods had diminished.

I would avoid these type of foods for now. I cut out soft drink, juice, coffee, and other stuff while I had the worst of my symptoms only only started to re-introduce these food back one at a time.
I'm still not drinking coffee on a regular basis and I found that I feel better without the high that coffee induces. I still have some left over coffee and once I'm done with those I'll be done with it. Yes, I'll still have a Starbuck once a great while but I don't feel like I have missed anything.

Prelief has helped me considerably. Enjoy a beer every once in a while. Take it before every meal as the instructions suggest. I noticed improvements in less than a week.

This isn't very specific at all. I would give a slightly different answer depending on what you mean by "sensitivity". If you mean that you were breaking out in a rash every time you had one of those foot items, I would say that you probably won't be getting over that allergy any time soon. If you said that you were having stomach pain and cramping from the foods, I would say you
might have an irritable bowel problem, and IBS problems typically wax and wane over time, and are worse during periods of high stress. If you said that your symptoms were exacerbating your CPPS, then I would give a similar answer as above. A lot of our conditions are "close to the edge", and some things can put them over the edge (too much caffeine, spicy foods, etc...). In some cases, restoring your health will allow you to have access to those food items again, without causing some of the distress you had been having. For example, if you have severe abdominal trigger points, these might be aggravated by things that put your intestines through more of a workout. However it is also possible that you have a definite, identifiable allergy to some of these things, and you may never be able to do them again. But I'd say this is unlikely. You didn't suddenly develop an allergy to ALL of them at once. It sounds more like your body has reached a state where it can no longer tolerate those things, and they cause problems for it. Given that, I would think that if you can restore your body's previous condition, you might have a shot of having those things again.
In my case, I gave up all of them, and have generally reintroduced them all again since I have gotten better.
Good luck!

Is caffeine really bad?

I know most doctors and many around here will say to avoid caffeine for prostatitis. I'm wondering if there's any scientific evidence supporting the idea that caffeine makes it worse. I do some caffeinated green tea in the morning. Other than making me pee a bit more, I don't know that it's making my condition worse. Sometimes I even feel better after a little caffeine. Just wondering what caffeine does that would cause prostatitis to get worse.
