Uroxatral side effects?

Post by jhferry »

In my last post I mentioned being put on Uroxatral. As expected, it is putting me in a coma. Will these symptoms go away as I get used to the drug? I feel like I'm out of it.

You should adapt in a week. If not, change it.

It made me very ancy and kinda panicky for the 3 weeks that I took it. I likened the side effects to my doctor as it being similar to doing a crapload of cocaine, since my heart was rapidly beating and I was very aware of it. It was thoroughly uncomfortable and eventually, he told me to stop it. Flomax also gave me palpitations for the first few days but I never took it longer than a week at a time. Thankfully, I can get by most of the time now without those drugs.
Age:23 | Onset Age:22 | Symptoms:Urinary hesitancy, moderate frequency, urgency and retention, slight perinneum, rectal and leg pain, frequent abdominal/bladder pain. Red/white spotty irritation on penis | Helped By:hot baths or showers, walking and moving around, pain medications | Worsened By: sitting for a long time, holding urine too long. I'd say I'm about 75% better naturally so far.

Alpha-blockers had the side effect of making me giddy. :icon_smile_lachuh:

I too just started Uroxatral. I am on my 2nd day and have worken up with a mild heache, little dizzy and feeling like I am fatigued or "fuzzy" in the head. I sure hope this goes away after a week or so. I take it before I go to bed.

Hi. This is exactly how xatral made me feel. "out of it".

It improved my urinary symptoms quickly, had a better flow and less pain. However, the xatral made me feel weak and fatigued. I took it for 3 weeks but was feeling so jaded I had to stop.

My doc has recommended I try Flomax at some point to see if I don't feel as tired on that, I will wait until I have a break from studies to try it.
